After taking on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge several times in a span of five years, playing Henry Willows in Repertory Philippines' (REP) latest offering, 'Father's Day,' is the recent addition to his resume.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast for the world premiere of Kiss My Aztec! John Leguizamo teams up with Artistic Director Tony Taccone for this musical comedy, following their collaboration on the hit one-man show Latin History for Morons, which received its world premiere at Berkeley Rep before heading to Broadway. Leguizamo will serve as co-writer and co-lyricist only for Kiss My Aztec! - 11 other talented actors will perform in this production. Taccone will also direct.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. The San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) is pleased to reveal the full schedule of performances for the 2019 Festival that will run from May 23 - June 2 and have as a central theme The Path to Democracy. THELONIOUS! by award winning multidisciplinary artist Peter Welch is a dark, syncopated comedy about the American Dream told through the nightmare of a failing marriage. The play's world premiere will be presented by the legendary downtown performance staple Theater for the New City (TNC) from February 7th to March 3rd, 2019. The production will feature a diverse cast consisting of Nicholas Santasier, Sly Augustus, David F. Slone Esq., Courtney Torres, Xiren Wang, Jaine Ye and Remington Moses (the great granddaughter of Ozzie & Harriet Nelson, granddaughter of Ricky Nelson and daughter of prolific television actors William Moses and Tracy Nelson). The production will be directed by TNC's Administrative Director Jonathan Weber, and is being produced by PRIME Stage to Screen, who brought the highly praised GREAT KILLS starring EMMY winner Joe Pantoliano to TNC in 2015.

Eclipse Theatre Company announces 2019 season will feature the comedic works of playwright Christopher Durang

San Francisco Opera Center Director Sheri Greenawald today announced the 12 recipients of the 2019 Adler Fellowship. Selected from participants of the Merola Opera Program, the ten singers and two pianist/apprentice coaches begin their fellowships in January 2019. The multi-year performance-oriented residency offers advanced young artists intensive individual training, coaching and professional seminars, as well as a wide range of performance opportunities. Since its inception in 1977, the prestigious fellowship has nurtured the development of more than 180 young artists, introducing many budding stars to the international opera stage and launching active careers throughout the world as performers, production artists, arts professionals and educators.

Rubicon Theatre Artistic Director Karyl Lynn Burns today announced that London-based director Katharine Farmer will helm the company's next two productions, a two-piano version of South Pacific (Dec. 5 - 23, 2018) which concludes Rubicon's 20th Anniversary Season, and Heisenberg (Jan. 30 - Feb. 17, 2019), a co-production with Laguna Playhouse, where the show runs Mar. 27 to Apr. 14, 2019).
