59E59 Theaters welcomes the return of Fishamble: The New Play Company with the New York City premiere of I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW (THE WHEELCHAIR ON MY FACE), written and performed by Sonya Kelly and directed by Gina Moxley. Part of Origin's 1st Irish at 59E59 Theaters, I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW (THE WHEELCHAIR ON MY FACE) begins performances tonight, September 10 for a limited engagement through Sunday, September 29. Press opening is Tuesday, September 17 at 7:30 PM.

The world premiere of multi-award-winning playwright Elizabeth Kuti's FISHSKIN TROUSERS will receive a four week run at the Finborough Theatre, opening tonight, 3 September 2013. The production is complemented by the return of the FINBOROUGHFORUM, a series of events, discussions and debates, both on the play itself and the current state of new writing for the theatre in the UK, following every performance on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 9.00pm from 11 September 2013.

Origin Theatre Company, artistic director George C. Heslin, presents the US premiere of "Stop the Tempo" by Romanian playwright Gianina Carbinariu, in a theatrically explosive site-specific staging at Arlene's Grocery, 95 Stanton Street, beginning Sunday May 26 at 4pm. Directed by Matt Torney, whose New York credits include shows at HERE, and at 59E59, "Stop the Tempo" plays a limited 4-week engagement through Tuesday June 18. Botanicum Seedlings, Theatricum Botanicum's new play development program, celebrates its 10th Anniversary with SeedlingsFest 2012, offering Theatricum audiences and company members an opportunity to sample fresh new works, plus seasonal gourmet treats and live music. Subtitled a "Festival of (short) Playreadings," SeedlingsFest features two days of plays from emerging and award-winning playwrights interpreting this year's theme, "Hybrids & Heirlooms" - a nod to Seedlings' ten years of supporting plays of varying styles and forms, from traditional to wildly experimental and everything in between. SeedlingsFest 2012 takes place Saturday and Sunday, October 20 and 21, at 2 pm. Admission is free; donations will be gratefully accepted.
