Olney Theatre Center is extending the hiatus of the National Players through 2026. Planned improvements to the Olney Theatre campus, including the 1938 Original Theatre and its adjoining production areas, means the facilities to house and rehearse the Players will be offline until completed. In a letter to Player alumni, Olney Theatre's Artistic Director, Jason Loewith wrote:

Sarasota Opera has announced the lineup for the 2023 Summer Classic Movies at the Opera House. The Classic Movies at the Opera House series featuring many beloved movies will open on Friday, May 12th at 7:30 pm with 2001: A Space Odyssey. Throughout the summer and into the fall, featured movies will include films ranging from the 1930's to the 1990's. Tickets will be $12 and will go on sale starting on Wednesday, May 3. Olney Theatre Center announced its 85th season. The season includes past Tony Award-winners and nominees (Ink, Fiddler on the Roof, Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), a World Premiere based on an acclaimed young adult novel (Long Way Down), plays that push genre boundaries like horror (The Brothers Paranormal) and fuse traditional folklore with electronic vocal sampling and looping, (Islander: A New Musical), a gender-swapped revamp of an audience favorite (Ken Ludwig's Lend Me a Soprano) and a wickedly funny and poignant solo performance that combines drag, food, and family history (Avaaz).

Maggie Cee's Ladies at a Gay Girls' Bar, 1938 - 1969 will be presented by The Dance Complex in Central Square Cambridge February 10-12, as part of its 30th Anniversary highlighting the extraordinary range of dance and movement in the Greater Boston dance community.

Billy Holiday's classic 'I'll be Seeing You' was remade by several legendary artists to include, Rod Stewart, Norah Jones, Tony Bennett and others. The song inspired many in long distance relationships at the height of World War II. Now as we say goodbye to 2022, Drea Dominique releases her rendition to encourage love and hope for the New-year.

The Dance Complex continues its 30th Anniversary season with a diverse schedule of performances that range from a solo dance/theatre work exploring the history of 20th-century fem/butch lesbian bars and a contemporary dance company with roots in Haitian culture to urban street dance and flamenco. 

Life is short but the tour is long and hilariously painful! This funny, heartfelt one-man show is about cycling and obsession, envy and ambition, winning and losing, and finding the inner grit to dominate the mountain stages of life. Written and performed by Hew Parham, Symphonie de la Bicyclette arrives at Adelaide Festival Centre's Space Theatre on 17 January and will run until 21 January.
