New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced that they will present a special one-night-only reading of A Number, by NYTW Usual Suspect and five-time Obie Award winner Caryl Churchill (Love and Information; A Number), directed by NYTW Usual Suspect and Tony Award winner Sam Gold (Fun Home, Othello) and featuring Daniel Craig (Othello, Spectre). The reading will benefit NYTW's Artist Workshop and Education programming and will take place at New York Theatre Workshop (79 East 4th Street) Sunday, March 10, 2019 at 7pm.

Tonight, FOX will air their third live musical production. Following in the footsteps of Grease and A Christmas Story, the network will be presenting Jonathan Larson's Rent, a rock musical that is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's 1896 opera, La boheme. The story follows a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in New York City's East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

Leslie Odom Jr., who rose to national fame after his show-stopping debut performance as Aaron Burr in the Broadway smash hit "Hamilton," will be making his debut with Pacific Symphony March 15-16, under the baton of guest conductor Matt Catingub for a full night's show, including intermission. A stellar performer of Broadway and American classics, Odom, Jr.'s show will include numerous hits from "Hamilton," the evergreen jazz gem "Autumn Leaves," "Joey Joey Joey" and a Nat King Cole medley.

Boxcar Theatre is proud to announce a partnership with SF Sketchfest next year, titled SF Sketchfest at The Speakeasy: An Immersive Comedy Experience. The nationally recognized festival celebrates its 18th season, January 10 - 27, 2019, and for the first time Boxcar will co-produce six SF Sketchfest shows while its immersive hit, The Speakeasy, remains on hiatus. The Speakeasy will close for the holidays after the matinee on Sunday, December 2, with new shows starting on Thursday, January 31, 2019. The complete schedule for SF Sketchfest will be announced on November 16, and tickets will go on sale November 18 at boxcartheatre.org/sketchfest.
