Pretty Woman: The Musical will welcome back Adam Pascal to Hollywood Boulevard for five performances only this week. Adam Pascal will play Edward Lewis from Tuesday, February 19, through Friday, February 22, 2019, during Andy Karl's time off.

Arts patrons will come together on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 for The Kennedy Center Gala Celebrating the Human Spirit, honoring philanthropists Patrick G. Ryan and Shirley W. Ryan of Chicago, and actor, producer, and humanitarian Forest Whitaker, the recipients of the 2019 Kennedy Center Award for the Human Spirit. The evening features an intimate dinner and awards presentation, a Gala Performance by Tony Award-winning icon Idina Menzel, and an after-party. Carol Melton and Jodie W. McLean are the co-chairs of the 2019 Kennedy Center Gala. Josefina Lopez, Founding Artistic Director of CASA 0101 Theater in Boyle Heights, CA announced today that her theater will stay open into 2019. Earlier in the year, in January 2018 she announced that her theater was in danger of closing its doors due to financial hardships. Lopez said today, "We are in a better place financially now in December 2018, than we were back at the beginning of the year. We still aren't out of the woods yet, but we are getting there.'

Broadway In Chicago today announced their plans to honor the late James M. Nederlander, the legendary Broadway theatre owner and producer, patriarch of Broadway and champion of Chicago's Downtown Theatre District, by renaming the Oriental Theatre as the JAMES M. NEDERLANDER THEATRE.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

Ben Lockwood, Rupert Henderson and Oliver Kaderbhai today announce the full cast for the hit Off-Broadway musical Striking 12 from Tony Award-winning Rachel Sheinkin and musical duo Brendan Milburn and Valerie Vigoda. Oliver Kaderbhai directs Declan Bennett (Brendan), Bronte Barbe (The Match Girl), Danielle Kassarate (Narrator), with Kate Robson-Stuart and Leon Scott completing the cast. Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's The Little Match Girl, Striking 12 will open at the Union Theatre on 3 December, with previews from 28 November and runs until 23 December.
