Williamston Theater Premieres NEW RELEASES

Last time we had the opportunity to talk to Katie LaMark she was on tour with the 20th Anniversary production of Rent, which at the time was heading to Music City for a stand at Tennessee Performing Arts Center. The time was October, 2016, and we were immediately taken by her easy manner, her obvious charm and her appreciation for where she found herself in her career. Now she's back on-tour, playing the role of Sherrie in the 10th anniversary national tour of Rock of Ages, heading back to Nashville this weekend for a three-performance run at TPAC this Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13. And we're happy to report, she's just as great an interview as ever!

BRONCO BILLY Comes to Skylight Theatre

Skylight Theatre Company (Producing Artistic Director, Gary Grossman and Co-Artistic Director Tony Abatemarco) announced today the world premiere of BRONCO BILLY - THE MUSICAL, It marks the organization's first world premiere musical production. The new musical, based on the Warner Bros. film Bronco Billy, features a book by Dennis Hackin, lyrics and music by Chip Rosenbloom and John Torres, with additional lyrics by Michele Brourman. Hunter Bird will direct. Preview performances begin on May 10, with the official press opening on Saturday, May 18, 2019. John Mulaney Wants to Write a Broadway Musical and Host the Tonys

During an interview with Vulture, John Mulaney discussed his return to SNL, which featured the follow-up musical sketch to the famous 'Diner Lobster,' which was a 'Les Miserables' song parody sketch. The sequel sketch, 'Bodega Bathroom' featured musical spoofs of songs from 'Rent', 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', to name a few. Mulaney also recently starred in the 'Company' parody episode of 'Documentary Now!'
