The Stephen Sondheim Society and Mercury Musical Developments today announce West End Musical Director Gareth Valentine as the final judge for the 2019 Stephen Sondheim Society Student Performer of the Year (SSSSPOTY), alongside the previously announced Julia McKenzie, Peter Polycarpou, and Edward Seckerson. Lyricist Charles Hart and Olivier Award-winner Jenna Russell join Nkeki Obi-Melekwe and Stiles + Drewe to complete the judging panel for the Stiles + Drewe Best New Song Prize. Winners will be announced at Theatre Royal Haymarket on Sunday 9 June.

Kicking off the 2019 summer season, City Theatre Austin will present Kathy Najimy and Mo Gaffney's hilarious and insightful cult comedy Parallel Lives. Two women, twenty-five characters, and an evening of laughter that you will never forget. It's a must see!

Quality Hill Playhouse continues its BROADWAY AND ALL THAT JAZZ series with SONGBOOK OF THE 60S AND 70S at the Playhouse in Kansas City. Directed by Producing Artistic Director J. Kent Barnhart the fourth program in the series runs through May 26. The final installment in the series SONGBOOK OF THE 80S TO PRESENT begins June 14 and concludes the 2018-2019 season at the Playhouse on July 14.

The June 2019 So-fi festival announces that it will be presenting works at The Clemente's Los Kabayitos and Flamboyan Theaters (107 Suffolk St. between Rivington & Delancey) and Westbeth (463 West Street between Bethune and West 12th St) June 6th-23rd 2019.

On June 21st, wizard rock pioneers Harry and the Potters (Paul and Joe DeGeorge), will release their first full-length album since 2006: Lumos. Using the magic of rock and roll, it chronicles the events of the seventh and final Harry Potter book where J.K. Rowling's teen wizard and his friends are on the run from a xenophobic, authoritarian regime and must work diligently to take down a dark wizard who capitalizes on fear and emboldens supremacist wizards. In other words, the subject matter of Lumos is extremely relevant. Harry and the Potters will embark on their first national tour of libraries since 2011 in support of the new album. Lumos was first announced to Harry and the Potters' fans with a Kickstarter campaign on April 23rd, doubling its funding goal within 24 hours of launch. 

After Hours Concerts Series announced that Joe Nichols and Rodney Atkins will play at the Marks & Harrison Amphitheater in Fredericksburg, VA on Friday, September 6th, 2019. Tickets go on sale Friday, April 26th at 10:00 AM at www.afterhoursconcertseries.com. A limited number of $20 Early Bird General Admission tickets will be available for one week only.

State Theatre New Jersey Presents THE MAN WHO PLANTED TREES on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 12:30pm and 3pm. The 3pm show is an Autism Friendly Relaxed Performance. State Theatre New Jersey's Autism-Friendly Relaxed Performances allow families with children on the autism spectrum or with other sensory sensitivities to enjoy high quality live entertainment in a safe, welcoming, sensory-friendly environment. All three performances will take place in the State Theatre's Studio space. Tickets are $15.

Led by Artistic Director and Conductor Gil Rose, BMOP celebrates Harbison in a program featuring Harbison's Remembering Gatsby (Foxtrot for Orchestra), Concerto for Viola and Orchestra, and celebrated soprano soloist Dawn Upshaw singing his Milosz Songs and his Symphony No. 6.
