The Charleston Light Opera Guild has announced audition dates for their highly anticipated rendition of My Fair Lady. Auditions will take place on February 12th, 13th and 15th of 2018. This marks the first time the guild has produced this classic musical in over 25 years.

Broad Hollow Theater Company begins its 2018 Spring season with the classic Lerner & Lowe's My Fair Lady which continues its run through January 28 at Baywway Arts Center in East Islip, NY and then transfers for a run at the Broad Hollow at Elmont Theater from February 3 - March 4.

Opera Atelier's founding co-artistic directors Marshall Pynkoski and Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg today announced the company's 2018-2019 season. The season opens with a French Baroque double bill of Charpentier's Act on paired with Rameau's Pygmalion (Oct. 25 Nov. 3, 2018), which will embark on an international tour to the Palace of Versailles and a soon-to-be-announced prestigious US venue. The season continues in spring 2019 with Mozart's Idomeneo(Apr. 4 13, 2019), starring Canadian soprano Measha Brueggergosman in her Dora Award-winning performance as Elettra.

The 70th anniversary season of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence will present an incomparable collection of artists from around the globe in six major opera productions; recitals, chamber music and orchestral concerts from July 4 through 24; plus multiple events from the Acad mie du Festival d'Aix in June and July. This double anniversary season - the Festival's 70th and the Academy's 20th - also celebrates the conclusion of Bernard Foccroulle's eleven-year tenure as general manager of the Festival. His legacy will be on display in the 2018 season with commissions, new productions, major participatory events, and significantly broader outreach to Arab and local audiences. Foccroulle will be succeeded by Park Avenue Armory artistic director and Dutch National Opera director Pierre Audi in September 2018.

Jeanne Sakata's one-man drama Hold These Truths tells the true story of Gordon Hirabayashi, the American son of Japanese immigrants who defied an unjust court order when America placed its own citizens in internment camps during World War II. Midway through Arena Stage's 2017/18 season, Hold These Truths brings an untold story to the stage that represents the diversity of our country and examines what it means to be an American. Under the direction of Jessica Kubzansky, Hold These Truths runs February 23-April 8, 2018 in the Kogod Cradle.
