American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Producer Diane Borger, is pleased to announce that Improper Bostonian's Boston's Best Band of 2018 STL GLD will celebrate the release of its new album, The New Normal, at OBERON (2 Arrow Street, Cambridge, MA) on Friday, February 1 at 9:30PM (doors open at 9PM). Brandie Blaze and Optic Bloom will open. The show kicks off A.R.T.'s Spring 2019 Live @ OBERON line-up. Additional Live @ OBERON artists will be announced at a later date.

Stroll Down Penny Lane is a live performance with beautiful accompanying films of the music of the most iconic songwriter of our age: Paul McCartney. The show includes songs spanning McCartney's career - from early influences, to the Beatles, through the Wings period, and beyond. All performed by some of the Bay Area's most sought-after career musicians. You'll also hear songs that have never been performed in concert - anywhere, by anyone!

Anthony W Rogers is a unique Appalachian psychedelic home spun music artist who has released three full length lps , the most recent of which “One Day” (A Journal) released in fall of 2018. Rogers generally prefers natural sounds and instruments over modern samples lending a nod towards '70s music. His music generally provides a measure of instrumental innovation in the sounds with an ever present vocal-centric mix which is at the core of his signature sound...his voice.

Hedwig returns to Texas in the Austin debut of the 2014 Tony Award-winning incarnation of John Cameron Mitchell and Stephen Trask's Hedwig and the Angry Inch playing The Topfer at ZACH running January 23-March 3, 2019 with a new "Pay-What-You-Will" program to begin with this production. In collaboration with University of Texas at Austin's Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities (DTYC) MFA Program, This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing will now join the season lineup running January 13, 19, 20, and 26, 2019 in The Whisenhunt at ZACH, performed and devised by the ensemble. Allen Robertson's smash-hit musical for all ages, Tortoise and Hare will close in The Kleberg at ZACH on January 27.

Premium network EPIX has greenlit Punk, a four-part docuseries from executive producer John Varvatos.  Varvatos brings his passion and deep connection to the roots of the PUNK movement to the series, partnering with filmmaker Derik Murray's Network Entertainment to produce the quintessential story of punk.  The series is currently in production, and will premiere on EPIX on March 11, 2019 at 10 PM. 

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company is pleased to announce that Mike Durst, Yeaji Kim, Christopher Kriz, Joe Schermoly, and Ellen Willett have been the first to be named Associate Artists of the company. The newly created Associate Artist program honors the work of these talented collaborators and will give them more opportunities to work with the company on future projects.

The National Theatre announces today that The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted by Simon Stephens from the novel by Mark Haddon, and directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse, Angels in America, Company) will return to the West End in November 2018 for a limited season. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time begins previews at the Piccadilly Theatre on 29 November, with an opening night on 11 December.

Today FringeArts President and Producing Director Nick Stuccio and Artistic Producers Katy Dammers and Zach Blackwood announced the programming for two new FringeArts festivals. Blue Heaven presents twelve distinct comedy acts over two days this February 1 and 2. High Pressure Fire Service runs from March through June and features six new productions-five world premieres and one expanded remount-from some of Philadelphia's preeminent performers. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of iconic and highly revered post-punk band BAUHAUS, PETER MURPHY has announced the RUBY TOUR which will circle the continent beginning and ending in Southern California. Along with fellow Bauhaus bandmate DAVID J on bass, they will be performing their debut album IN THE FLAT FIELD in its entirety along with an extended encore of Bauhaus classics.

The Public Theater announced the full line-up today for the 15th annualUNDER THE RADAR FESTIVAL, running January 3-13, 2019. Breakout series: Clairvoyance Installation #2: White People Read. The installation will take place on Saturday, October 27 at 2PM in the Johnson Building of the Boston Public Library's Central Library in Copley Square.

With these liner notes, celebrated author Michael Barclay entrenches the enormous musical history of Toronto's Massey Hall. His words set the stage for a monumental new vinyl release series that captures the fascinating evolution of the venerated concert venue, a room that has housed timeless performances by everyone from Joni Mitchell to Glenn Gould since opening its doors in 1894.

This Fall Live @ Benaroya Hall demonstrates its commitment to supporting emerging artists with a series of four artists on the rise: Royal, Springs, Beving and Micarelli. The Live @ Benaroya Hall season continues through December and into 2019 with four added concerts: Brickman, The Tenors, The English Beat and Bowie. Tickets to those shows recently went on sale and good seats are available for all concerts in the lineup. More shows for the Spring of 2019 will be announced in late January. New Jersey's Sunshine And The Rain (fmr. The Black Hollies) are excited to share two new tracks from their upcoming sophomore album Beneath The Stars (October 26, 2018 on Ernest Jenning Record Co.).
