Sony Music Masterworks has announced the release of How To Talk To Girls At Parties (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack),the musical companion to the hugely anticipated new film from award-winning writer-director, John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), based on the short story by Neil Gaiman (American Gods, Norse Mythology). The album arrives at all music retailers and streaming services on Friday, May 11. Out today ahead of the full soundtrack release is the single track, 'Between the Breaths' from beloved indie-darlings, Mitski and Xiu Xiu. The A24 release of a See-Saw Films/Little Punk production, How to Talk to Girls at Parties opens in theaters across the U.S on May 25. StudioCanal UK releases the film across the UK on May 11.

Using cutting-edge science as the foundation for outrageous stunts and practical jokes, SCIJINKS, the all-new science prank show hosted by Johnny Galecki, will premiere Wednesday, May 16 at 10 PM ET/PT on Science Channel . Galecki orchestrates a team of inventive scientists who use science to feed people's minds, and to mess with their heads. Galecki's Alcide Bava Productions, and A. Smith & Co. Productions are producing the series, which is comprised of eight 30-minute episodes.

This first-of-its kind event in Atlanta features a comedy show with Wanda Sykes and Tig Notaro at the Fox Theatre on Wednesday, June 20 at 8 p.m. The celebration continues with a drag show and performance by the legendary rock band Blondie on Friday, June 22 at 8 p.m. at the Fox Theatre. From the band's formation by the late Damon Edge in 1975, joined by longtime vocalist/guitarist Helios Creed in '77, Chrome has developed a unique methodology within the band, bringing art into sound, splicing in a Sci-Fi collage of sound bites, combining searing rock with noise, weirdness, pile driver rhythms (including scrap metal percussion), heavy rhythm-guitar riffs, effects-laden vocals, psychedelic guitar leads, and mindbending audio manipulations. Known for their experimental, de/re-construction of rock and roll, on the heels of their March US tour, in which Dave Segal from Seattle's 'The Stranger' proclaimed, '...the maliciously inventive guitarist Creed sporadically has resurrected Chrome and kept the music vital and vicious at an age when most rockers' creativity has withered.', the seminal post-punk psychedelic outfit will embark on the 2nd leg of their major tour in May to support their 21st studio album 'Techromancy', which was released last year on Cleopatra Records.  

Performances of the North American premiere of The Rosenbergs (An Opera) begin this week. The special event is produced by Boston University and Brandeis University, and presented by Boston Playwrights' Theatre (BPT).

Vietgone by Qui Nguyen is the Vietnamese-American playwright's own creation story-a telling of his parents' 1975 refugee camp romance in a "geek theater" spectacle that's at turns affecting, sage, raucous, and fantastical. A screenwriter for Marvel Studios and founder of Obie Award-winning company Vampire Cowboys, Nguyen's work champions representation and diversity on stage while dripping with pop culture nods, contemporary music, and action-adventure narrative. The production pairs this Studio-commissioned playwright with director and Studio Cabinet member Natsu Onoda Power. Drawing on Vietgone's comic book aesthetics, Studio's Stage 4 is transformed into a garage concert with a live band and original funk-rock-punk-n-roll score, giving audiences a front row seat to this anything-but-typical story of boy meets girl.

Barcelona's fledgling rockers MOURN have announced their third LP Sorpresa Familia, which will be released on June 15th via Captured Tracks. Today they share their first single and video from the record, 'Barcelona City Tour,' via NPR. The video, which was directed and edited by the band, follows them as they explore and celebrate their Catalonian capital and hometown.

Announced today, The Life Tour: starring Boy George & Culture Club and The B-52s with special guest Thompson Twins' Tom Bailey, will visit 40+ cities across the U.S. with a stop in St. Louis at the Fabulous Fox Theatre on Thursday, September 6.

 New Jersey alt-punk rockers, Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son have teamed up with Atwood Magazine to premiere their new single 'Roaring Twenties' off of their forthcoming self-titled album, due out March 23, 2018. The new track is available to listen to HERE.

The Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia (COP) continues our Improvisionaries season presenting trailblazing composer and electric violist, Martha Mooke.  COP's fifth series program at the Kimmel Center, Mozart, Mooke, and Faure, will feature Mozart's brilliant Symphony No. 38 "Prague." This iconic work received its first performance in Prague during one of Mozart's most successful tours to the city. The "Prague" symphony will share the program with a new commission by Martha Mooke. Mooke's unique style crosses the classical, jazz, and rock genres with a compelling and singular musical voice. In addition to concert appearances worldwide, Mooke's work has been featured in recordings that often defy categorization, including David Bowie's Heathen CD.
