At long last, Hedwig comes to Diversionary! This iconic musical is an integral part of the LGBT theater canon and truly rocked the musical form when it debuted Off Broadway 20 years ago. It has since been made into a movie, enjoyed productions all over the world, and had its Broadway debut starring Neil Patrick Harris, winning the Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. Our 20th anniversary production will find a thrilling new aesthetic and a renewed authenticity as we conclude a nationwide casting search for the right gender non-binary performer to fill Hedwig's boots! Get ready to rock!

Canadian quintet Calling All Captains is thrilled to share their new video for 'Chasing Ghosts,' streaming now exclusively on Alternative Press. Additionally, the band has announced their forthcoming EP and Equal Vision Records debut, Nothing Grows Here, out February 8th, 2019. For WHO fans everywhere, the announcement of a brand new tour means only one thing: the world's most untameable rock band is about to deliver the goods once again. Never ones for nostalgia, singer Roger Daltrey and guitarist and songwriter Pete Townshend will be unleashing the combustible force that is The Who, with symphonic accompaniment this summer and fall in 2019. Produced by Live Nation, The Who's North American MOVING ON! TOUR will bring their indelible brand of powerhouse rock to 29 cities beginning in May (see tour itinerary below). The kickoff date is May 7 in Grand Rapids, MI with the band wrapping up the first leg of the tour June 1 in Toronto, ON. American Repertory Theater (A.R.T.) at Harvard University, under the leadership of Terrie and Bradley Bloom Artistic Director Diane Paulus and Executive Producer Diane Borger, is pleased to announce that Improper Bostonian's Boston's Best Band of 2018 STL GLD will celebrate the release of its new album, The New Normal, at OBERON (2 Arrow Street, Cambridge, MA) on Friday, February 1 at 9:30PM (doors open at 9PM). Stroll Down Penny Lane is a live performance with beautiful accompanying films of the music of the most iconic songwriter of our age: Paul McCartney. The show includes songs spanning McCartney's career - from early influences, to the Beatles, through the Wings period, and beyond. Anthony W Rogers is a unique Appalachian psychedelic home spun music artist who has released three full length lps , the most recent of which “One Day” (A Journal) released in fall of 2018. Rogers generally prefers natural sounds and instruments over modern samples lending a nod towards '70s music. His music generally provides a measure of instrumental innovation in the sounds with an ever present vocal-centric mix which is at the core of his signature sound...his voice.

In collaboration with University of Texas at Austin's Drama and Theatre for Youth and Communities (DTYC) MFA Program, This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing will now join the season lineup running January 13, 19, 20, and 26, 2019 in The Whisenhunt at ZACH, performed and devised by the ensemble. Allen Robertson's smash-hit musical for all ages, Tortoise and Hare will close in The Kleberg at ZACH on January 27.

Premium network EPIX has greenlit Punk, a four-part docuseries from executive producer John Varvatos.  Varvatos brings his passion and deep connection to the roots of the PUNK movement to the series, partnering with filmmaker Derik Murray's Network Entertainment to produce the quintessential story of punk.  The series is currently in production, and will premiere on EPIX on March 11, 2019 at 10 PM. 

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company is pleased to announce that Mike Durst, Yeaji Kim, Christopher Kriz, Joe Schermoly, and Ellen Willett have been the first to be named Associate Artists of the company. The newly created Associate Artist program honors the work of these talented collaborators and will give them more opportunities to work with the company on future projects.

The National Theatre announces today that The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, adapted by Simon Stephens from the novel by Mark Haddon, and directed by Marianne Elliott (War Horse, Angels in America, Company) will return to the West End in November 2018 for a limited season. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time begins previews at the Piccadilly Theatre on 29 November, with an opening night on 11 December.

Blue Heaven presents twelve distinct comedy acts over two days this February 1 and 2. In celebration of the 40th anniversary of iconic and highly revered post-punk band BAUHAUS, PETER MURPHY has announced the RUBY TOUR which will circle the continent beginning and ending in Southern California.
