Starting October 7, Artists Repertory Theatre presents Bess Wohl's Small Mouth Sounds, directed by Shawn Lee. Artists Rep's 2016/17 season featured Wohl's American Hero, which was also directed by Lee. Small Mouth Sounds runs from October 7 through November 4 on the Alder Stage.

Hartford Stage today announced the cast and creative team for Make Believe, written by Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle award-winning playwright Bess Wohl. The world premiere play will perform Today, September 6, through Sunday, September 30, to open the Tony Award-winning regional theatre's 55thseason. Jackson Gay will direct.

The Civilians, the celebrated Off-Broadway theatre company, will host a benefit concert at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette St.) on Monday, June 4th, 2018 at 7pm. This one-night-only event will celebrate the life and legacy of founding Associate Artist, the late composer and lyricist Michael Friedman, and will raise funds for the newly created Michael Friedman Legacy Fund.

Jump For Joy! The Off-Broadway cast recording of the New York premiere production of the new musical Unexpected Joy, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell (Side Show) and music by Janet Hood (Elegies for Angels, Punks, and Raging Queens with Bill Russell), will be recorded and released by JAY Records. Join Jill Sobule and her collaborators for a special performance of songs from Times Square, a new musical about two girls who find courage, love, and rock and roll while on the run in the rough and sleazy streets of the old Times Square. Inspired by the cult classic movie of the same name, Sobule and her longtime collaborator Robin Eaton have created a score that evokes the eclectic musical landscape of late 70's NYC, from the downtown CBGB's sound to heartfelt ballads.
