Police Cops In Space is a space age comedy, creatively adapting the legacy of 80’s cult police and space films to joyous effect. Following a riotous hit run at Southwark Playhouse Borough in 2023, the critically acclaimed POLICE COPS: THE MUSICAL will return to London bigger and better than ever. 

The US police force perhaps isn’t the most obvious subject for a comedy musical, but Police Cops: The Musical turns an unlikely premise into a undeniable hit. Fresh from a hit run at the Edinburgh Fringe, this slick satire of the US eighties is enjoying yet more success in London. From the minds of trio Zachary Hunt, Nathan Parkinson and Tom Roe comes a full-throttle ride through the cliches of American action movies.

Following their performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August, POLICE COPS: THE MUSICAL has transferred to The Large at Southwark Playhouse Borough for a limited run through 14 October 2023. Check out all new photos from the production here!

After seeing Police Cops: Badass Be Thy Name and loving the group’s sense of humour and fantastic dynamic, I knew that I wanted to see their 2023 Edinburgh Fringe Festival show, Police Cops: The Musical. Somehow, this show managed to exceed my already high expectations, making for a perfect last show at the Fringe. 

Following their performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August, POLICE COPS: THE MUSICAL will transfer to The Large at Southwark Playhouse Borough for a limited run, from 8 September 2023 to 14 October 2023.

Tommy Dixon is an ordinary man who wants to live an extraordinary life. He’s a telemarketer for a magazine company about tall things, his dad left him and his mother alone, and his stepfather talks to him with his butt. But Tommy’s life changes when he meets Father Badass, a priest at St. Bartholomew with a big secret - He’s a vampire hunter.

A madcap, spoofing comedy briiming with energy and chest hair

Everybody needs a good laugh. That's just what you'll get when you see 'Police Cops' at 59E59 Theaters. The show wraps up the theater's annual Brits Off Broadway Festival of shows. Presented by New Diorama Theatre, this imaginative, zany show is written, directed and performed by the three member award-winning troupe, The Pretend Men.

The critically acclaimed Brits Off Broadway, host to the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City, presented by 59E59 Theaters (Val Day, Artistic Director; Brian Beirne, Managing Director) returns from Wednesday, April 11 - Sunday, July 1. POLICE COPS is pastiche on a grand scale, taking the buddy cop genre, putting a self-aware spin on it and playing tropes that were once taken extremely seriously to the very edge of sheer lunacy. The results are hilarious, as though THE MOD SQUAD were taking on IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT in the WILD WILD WEST at RUSH HOUR.
