Theatre Aspen has announced the cast and directors for its third annual Solo Flights, including two-time Tony Award winner James Naughton (Broadway’s Chicago). Solo Flights is Theatre Aspen’s developmental one-person show festival, running September 10-15, 2022, at the Hurst Theatre in Aspen, Colorado.

Opening August 9 at the Barn Theatre School - ROCK OF AGES – the ultimate mix-tape musical, a hilarious story of rock and roll dreams and love!

San Jose Stage Company has announced new dates for the final production of its 39th Season, Sam Shepard’s rarely produced THE TOOTH OF CRIME.  Due to an unfortunate COVID-19 outbreak within the company, THE TOOTH OF CRIME will now run from August 3 – 21, 2022 at San Jose Stage Company (490 South 1st Street, San Jose, CA, 95113).

FRIGID New York will present the 13th Annual The Fire This Time Festival at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery), July 7-10 with performances on Thursday, July 7 at 7pm, Friday, July 8 at 7pm, Saturday, July 9th at 2pm, Saturday, July 9th at 7pm, and Sunday, July 10th at 3pm.

From June 2 to 19, Theater for the New City will present the world premiere of 'A Healthy House' by Tom Diriwachter, directed by Jonathan Weber.  It's a wickedly funny play about a Staten Island family trying to preserve its run-down house and its memories without getting too scammed by the contractor. 

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced production plans for its 2022-2023 theatrical season, including the Off-Broadway plays for The Laura Pels Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre and full programming Off-Broadway for the Black Box Theatre at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.

Memphis the musical will be playing at the Artisty Theater. This musical will blast you out the door humming! Inspired by actual events in the turbulent south of the 1950s, Memphis is the story of Felicia Farrell and Huey Calhoun - one a Black singer, talented and determined to share her voice; the other a white radio DJ whose passion for music transcends race lines. As their love of music and each other grow, their lives and communities intersect, causing encounters with prejudices that challenge them to reconsider their relationships, priorities, and dreams. Featuring an original score with music by David Bryan, founding member of Bon Jovi, this show will have you dancing in your seat.

BIRDLAND JAZZ CLUB will present acclaimed vocalist and songwriter Amanda McBroom in her new show “Crimes of the Heart” on Monday, May 2 at 7:00 PM. McBroom’s concert will feature songs of passion, politics, and just plain love, written by the likes of Stephen Sondheim, Irving Berlin, Leonard Cohen, and of course, Amanda McBroom.
