Summer afternoon concerts are coming back to Lincoln Square! The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) is excited to announce its continued partnership with the MTA Arts & Design's Music Under New York (MTA MUSIC), which will bring free lunchtime entertainment to the Lincoln Square area- a neighborhood filled with a rich cultural and musical scene. The wildly popular annual Lunchtime Concert Series, now in its 12th year, will take place every Wednesday, rain or shine, beginning July 3 through August 28, from noon until 2:00 p.m. in Richard Tucker Park at Broadway and 66th Street. No matter one's musical preference-Jazz, Rock or Opera-locals and visitors of all ages can hear it free all summer long.

Today the Merce Cunningham Trust announces Summer & Fall 2019 programming for the worldwide Merce Cunningham Centennial, which unites artists, companies, and cultural and educational institutions in a celebration of Cunningham's vital impact. A co-presentation by Kuumbwa Jazz and Santa Cruz Shakespeare, A Winter's Tale Remix is a melding of theatre and jazz. In this production, Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale receives a reimagining by Santa Cruz Shakespeare actor Tommy Gomez and the Le Boeuf Brothers, an acclaimed jazz ensemble with local roots.

Renowned guitarist, multi-platinum-selling singer-songwriter, bandleader and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Steve Miller has opened up his voluminous archive of recordings for the first time ever to present a milestone 3CD + DVD box set. WELCOME TO THE VAULT covers Miller's genre-blurring six-decade career over 52 audio tracks, pairing a number of greatest hits and certifiable rock 'n roll classics with 38 previously unreleased recordings that span demos, rehearsals, outtakes, vintage concert performances and 5 newly uncovered original Steve Miller Band songs recorded in the 1960s and 1970s.

 Scottsdale Arts' new Collaborative Community Engagement Program (CCEP) initiative encourages local artists to submit artistic proposals for development. Phase one of the program is now open for submissions, and will run through January 30, 2020.

City Theatre is excited to announce the details of The Bash, a benefit evening for the South Side theatre company, entering its 45th season. The Orchestra Now (TON) will perform the final performance this season of its frequently sold-out Sight & Sound series at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on Sunday, May 19 at 2 pm. The concert features the New York premiere of one of Morton Feldman's lesser-known early works, Orchestra, along with Anton Webern's Six Pieces for Orchestra, in a program titled Abstraction in Music & Art.

The Orchestra Now (TON) begins its spring season at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Frederick P. Rose Hall on Tuesday, March 26 at 7:30 pm. The concert will present works by Brahms and Grieg with pianist Alessandro Taverna led by distinguished guest conductor Fabio Luisi, music director of the Zurich Opera and principal conductor of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra. The season continues through May 19, 2019.

XYZ Films and Starburns Industries announces today that they will produce the biographical documentary WELCOME TO MY DAYDREAM, about the stop-motion animation pioneer Will Vinton. The film will be directed by Marq Evans, and produced by XYZ Films and Starburns Industries, with XYZ handling worldwide sales for the project.

American Symphony Orchestra concludes its 2018-19 season on a high note by offering an exceedingly rare performance of Bohuslav Martin 's opera Julietta at Carnegie Hall on Friday, March 22.

Lotus Music & Dance will celebrate its 30th Anniversary in 2019 with a benefit dinner and performance on Monday, March 25th. This year also marks the 100th Birth Anniversary of bharata natyam dance guru, T. Balasaraswati (“Bala”). They will honor legendary choreographer, George Faison with the inaugural Bala Award for Excellence .
