In celebration of the bicentennial of the publication of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Little Fish Theatre presents Bloody Poetry by Howard Brenton. Opening September 27 at Little Fish Theatre and directed by Ovation Award winner and Little Fish Theatre Artistic Associate Stephanie Coltrin, Bloody Poetry plunges into the bohemian lives of Lord Byron, his mistress, and the Shelleys, and enables the audience to enter their summer Villa - a place where the poets take refuge from the upheaval of their country and turn creative writing into a collective practice of subversive intent and revolutionary ambition.

Griffin Theatre Company Artistic Director William Massolia today announced the addition of nine new ensemble members: Isa Arciniegas, Larry Baldacci, Peter Byrne, Jermaine Hill, Nicole Laurenzi, Ryan McBride, Rochelle Therrien, Jason VonRohn and Scott Weinstein. Additionally, Griffin is pleased to add six new artistic associates: Will Kiley, Dorothy Milne, Mechelle Moe, Alexander Ridgers, Rachel Sypniewski and Brandon Wardell.

The last production of Little Fish Theatre's 2018 season is A Christmas Cactus, written by novelist and Washington, D.C. journalist Eliot Byerrum and directed by LFT newcomer Gloria Iseli. Opening November 16, this mystery mashes Dickens and Doyle in a charming Christmas tale where goodwill and justice triumph.

OBIE award winning The Fire This Time Festival  (TFTT) announces today its 10th anniversary festival dates and the lineup of featured playwrights who comprise the centerpiece of the annual 10-minute play program.

On the heels of his critically-acclaimed debut album, ONE IN A MILLION, Norwegian powerhouse producer Matoma has unveiled the official video for his latest single, “Sunday Morning,”featuring Atlantic recording artist, Josie Dunne. The companion visual stars both artists and tells the story of a frustrated motel cleaner (Dunne) battling through a tiring job and rude customers, dreaming of running away to travel the world. At an empowering climax, Dunne abandons her job, escaping somewhere far better. Watch the official video here.

Paper Mill Playhouse will present 'Holiday Inn' from November 21 through December 30. This spectacular musical has a book by Gordon Greenberg and Chad Hodge; choreography by Denis Jones; direction by Gordon Greenberg; and musical direction by Shawn Gough. As Drama majors, we are constantly looking ahead towards our professional futures. Every holiday has at least one cynical relative asking, "What are we going to do in the real world?" and, "When are we going to be on Broadway?" Whether that voice is from a family member or in your own head, we always seem to be clouded with thoughts of resumes and in search of a volunteer or performance opportunity to diversify our credits.

Fresh on the heels of her first ever tour supporting Andy Grammer on his “The Good Parts Tour,” Josie Dunne has released her newest track, “Cold In December” along with companion video just in time for the holidays. The track marks the first new release since Josie's debut EP “To Be The Little Fish,” which was released earlier this year. Josie is currently featured on Matoma's latest single “Sunday Morning.” Josie continues to hit the road, as support for former tour mate John Splithoff for two select shows in Chicago and New York. Most recently, Josie released her “Cool With It (Acoustic)” video that premiered via Ones To Watch.

KEVIN SMITH KIRKWOOD - who appeared on Broadway in the entire run of the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots - will return to JOE'S PUB with CLASSIC WHITNEY: ALIVE! in a special celebration of 2019 World Pride 'The Rainbow Show' on Monday, June 24 at 9:30 PM. The night features a special performance recreating Whitney's appearance at 1999's Pride Dance and her live covers of tunes by the divas who inspired her and keep the LGBTQ community dancing (including Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin, and Judy Garland).

Atlantic recording artist Josie Dunne has released her new video for “Same” today. The video directed by Bree Marie Fish is streaming now on the Nashville-based singer-songwriter's official YouTube channel HERE following its exclusive premiere earlier today via REFINERY29, who declared, “Nashville-based artist Josie Dunne is making moves. After releasing her first EP with Atlantic Records, To Be The Little Fish, in 2018, Dunne has toured with singer-songwriters Ben Rector and Julia Michaels, making a name for herself as a songwriter and up-and-coming pop act to watch.”

Studio 106 provides a site-specific environment for the action of Portrait of a Soul, which is set in an artist's studio.

A clever and compelling love letter to theater, and everyone who enjoys it both on- and off-stage, Donald Margulies' The Country House opens at Little Fish Theatre on April 4 for a four-week run. The Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright focuses his lens on a multi-generational family, revealing long pent-up frustrations and unrequited love in this ultimately healing narrative. LFT company member Holly Baker-Kreiswirth directs.

Second Stage Theater has just announced that JESSE TYLER FERGUSON will co-star opposite the previously announced Jesse Williams in the Broadway production of Richard Greenberg's Tony Award-winning play, TAKE ME OUT. Directed by Scott Ellis, TAKE ME OUT will begin previews April 2, 2020 and officially open on April 23, 2020 at Second Stage's Hayes Theater (240 West 44th street). Ferguson will play the role of Mason Marzac, the money manager who develops a surprising and all-encompassing love for baseball.

A Valentine's Day treat of short plays centered around love opens Feb 14 for a limited run at Little Fish Theatre. Loves Me/Loves Me Not features staged readings of six plays from two internationally-produced playwrights, directed and performed by Little Fish Theatre company members.

The month marks the start of my 7th year as a reviewer for Broadway World Los Angeles. With awards season in full bloom each January, many people ask me what my favorite shows were for the previous year. Since I see 3-5 shows per week, that is a difficult and time-consuming task for me to accomplish. But for 2018, I decided to go back through all the 188 reviews/articles I wrote for every show I saw and selected my top shows month-by-month. And what fun it was to go back and select one photo from each of the top 39 shows I selected.

Fresh from the critical and commercial success of their 1996 sophomore album Wax Ecstatic, Detroit hard rockers Sponge holed up in a small studio in their hometown to record what was to be their third as yet untitled album for Sony Records. The band, whose songwriting chops had been proved on the megahit singles “Plowed” and “Molly (16 Candles Down The Drain),” looked to founder and lead vocalist Vinnie Dombroski for a new batch of tunes, and Dombroski himself turned to his classic rock heroes like The Doors, The Who and Steppenwolf others for inspiration. The result was a raw blast of sonically devastating, guitar-oriented rock n' roll. As the story goes, when legendary A&R rep John Kalodner stopped by the studio to sample what Sponge had been up to, he was not able to tolerate the sheer power of the sessions for long and had to beat a retreat!

Drury Lane Theatre announces casting for its production of the international megahit Mamma Mia!, with music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Bj rn Ulvaeus, some songs with Stig Anderson, and book by Catherine Johnson. Originally conceived by Judy Craymer, Mamma Mia! is directed by Artistic Director William Osetek and choreographed by Jane Lanier with music direction by Roberta Duchak. Mamma Mia! runs February 7 April 14, 2019, at Drury Lane Theatre, 100 Drury Lane in Oakbrook Terrace. The press opening is scheduled for Thursday, February 21 at 8:00 p.m.

Harvested from over 800 short plays submitted from around the world, Little Fish Theatre uncorks its 17th season of Pick of the Vine on January 10. The audience and critic favorite is a perfectly blended bouquet of nine short plays where audiences will experience Magic Moments, featuring a mix of new and familiar LFT artists.

Kokandy Productions announced today that Allison Hendrix will step down as the company's Producing Artistic Director. Hendrix has served as PAD since the company was founded in 2010. Kokandy will launch a search for a new Producing Artistic Director this week.

A seedy, abandoned motel room is the location of Steven Dietz's On Clover Road, where a desperate mother unites with a hard-boiled private investigator in the hope of reuniting with her cult-member young daughter. Opening September 21 in its Los Angeles premiere at Little Fish Theatre, On Clover Road spotlights a star turn by actor Renee O'Connor and is directed by StageSceneLA Award Winner and LFT company member Holly Baker-Kreiswirth.

LOFT ENSEMBLE announces the west coast premiere of Arthur M. Jolly's THE LADY DEMANDS SATISFACTION.

A prodigal son's return home is the focus of Dead Accounts opening at Little Fish Theatre on May 16 for a four-week run. LFT company member Branda Lock directs this story about boiling points and big money from Peabody and Writers' Guild Award winner Theresa Rebeck.
