Musicals at Richter (MAR), continues its 34th season as the longest-running outdoor theater in Connecticut, with Martin Charnin and Charles Strouse's ebullient musical 'Annie,' playing July 27 through August 11. Staged on the grounds of the Richter Arts Center in Danbury, performances take place outdoors under the stars Friday through Sunday evenings at 8:00 p.m., with additional specially discounted performances on Thursday, August 2 and 9.

Casting is now complete for the Hollywood Bowl's upcoming production of Annie. The new cast members are Roger Bart as Daniel 'Rooster' Hannigan, Kaylin Hedges as Annie, Ali Stroker as 'Star-to-Be,' Amir Talai as Bert Healy, Marlow Barkley as Kate, Amadi Chapata as Pepper, Noe Lynds as July, Rae Martinez as Tessie, Malea Emma Tjandrawidjaja as Molly, and Olivia Zenetzis as Duffy.

Broadway luminaries and Riverdale's most talented performers will join forces for a Gala concert production of the classic musical comedy GUYS AND DOLLS, Frank Loesser's immortal musical fable of Broadway. The one-night only gala event will be held at the Riverdale YM-YWHA on Sunday, June 17, 2018, and will begin at 4:00pm. From 15 January 2018 Ruby Stokes (13-years old from Hampshire) will be joined by Isobel Khan (11 years old from Wakefield) and Agatha Meehan (10 years old from York) who will share the title role of Annie. The kids cast will also welcome Molly May Gibson (11 years old from Kent), Hannah Hutchins (13 years old from Bromley) and Amelie Green (10 years old from London) who join the three teams of young performers who play the girls in Miss Hannigan's orphanage.

This winter, Portland Stage unveils the Dark Week Project, three staged readings of beloved playwright Sarah Ruhl's Dear Elizabeth while the Mainstage is 'dark', a technical term to signify that the theater is in a transition week between regularly scheduled productions. Dear Elizabeth will be performed by a rotating cast of Portland Stage Affiliate Artists and is directed by Todd Brian Backus.
