Initial casting has been announced for the 10th anniversary revival of Bruce Norris' seminal play Clybourne Park. Oliver Kaderbhai directs a cast including Michael Fox (Jim / Tom), Imogen Stubbs (Bev / Kathy) and Eric Underwood (Albert / Kevin). The production opens on 30 March, with previews from 25 March, and runs until 2 May.

The creative team behind the long-awaited revival of Jerry Springer - The Opera have announced details of the final cast members to complete the company.

Huntington Theatre Company announced today that tickets to The Purists are now on sale to the general public. The world premiere play, directed by Tony and Grammy Award winner Billy Porter (Kinky Boots, 'Pose' on FX), will begin performances at the South EndCalderwood Pavilion at the BCA (527 Tremont St., Boston) on Friday, August 30, 2019 and will run through Sunday, September 29, 2019.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast for the world premiere of Kiss My Aztec! John Leguizamo teams up with Artistic Director Tony Taccone for this musical comedy, following their collaboration on the hit one-man show Latin History for Morons, which received its world premiere at Berkeley Rep before heading to Broadway. Well, the next step in my decluttering/digitizing journey is throwing out my Chess CDs, not that they take up much space. I only have the Original Concept Recording and the Broadway cast. I'm going to download the freaking 2008 Royal Albert Hall concert version (with Idina Menzel, Josh Groban and Adam Pascal) to try to keep this column hip. But let's all just remember two things: 1.) I am not hip; and, 2.) I'm just downloading the concert for this column, so it doesn't really count as part of my digitizing.

Following in the footsteps of Grease and A Christmas Story, the network will be presenting Jonathan Larson's Rent, a rock musical that is loosely based on Giacomo Puccini's 1896 opera, La boheme. The story follows a group of impoverished young artists struggling to survive and create a life in New York City's East Village in the thriving days of Bohemian Alphabet City, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS.

On Thursday, December 13th, Frank 'Fraver' Verlizzo will discuss his 5 decades as Broadway's award-winning theatrical poster designer with Broadway World's Richard Ridge in the Bruno Walter auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center. Verlizzo, known as 'FRAVER,' is the author of the best-selling FRAVER BY DESIGN: Five Decades of Theatre Post Art from Broadway, Off-Broadway, and Beyond which was published in May by Schiffer Publishing. The book includes over 250 of his theatre poster designs from Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional and international productions. The Lincoln Center Library event begins at 6 pm and admission is free.
