Last night, supporters of TheatreWorks Silicon Valley gathered to hear the 2019 Regional Theatre Tony Award-winning company and its Board of Trustees announce the launch of its 50th Anniversary Campaign, a $5 million fundraising campaign to ensure the future success of the nationally-acclaimed theatre, including commissions for new plays and musicals. 

The Donmar Warehouse has announced that Daniel Evans and Jenna Russell will curate a series of intimate evenings of music and song performed in the iconic setting of the Donmar auditorium. Each cabaret evening will feature the best of musical theatre, with a programme of songs by Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown, Noël Coward and Lin-Manuel Miranda. From its early days as a rehearsal studio for the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, to the hugely successful Divas at the Donmar series in the early 2000s, the Donmar has presented outstanding musical talent over many years, and is delighted to continue this tradition with Donmar Lates.

Since making her Broadway debut as Ariel in Disney's The Little Mermaid in 2007, Sierra Boggess has firmly established herself as one of theatre's biggest stars on both sides of the Atlantic. Shakespeare's Globe has announced the full cast for Globe on Tour, directed by Brendan O'Hea. The company of eight actors will once again offer audiences around the world a trio of plays, which this year explore the relationship between humankind and Mother Nature. Audiences will cast their votes for either A Midsummer Night's Dream, As You Like It or The Tempest, each of which explores the natural world and its great potential for abundance and transformation.

The launch of Loghaven Artist Residency is the culmination of years of planning, research, design, and input from artists, arts leaders, and the Alliance of Artist Communities.

Multi-platinum, chart-topping rock band, Nickelback is set to hit the road this summer, bringing some of their biggest hits to venues across North America on the band's 2020 headlining tour. Acclaimed singer and actress Erin Leddy (Ghostlight the musical; Anything Goes; The Great Gatsby) and multiple award-winning performer of stage and screen Tim Realbuto (who recently won The Hollywood Moving Image Award for Best Leading Actor for the motion picture YES) will bring their new concert From Broadway With Love to The Laurie Beechman Theatre at the West Bank Cafe on West 42d Street, right in the heart of midtown. The concert will take place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 13th, just in time for Valentine's Day. The two best friends are teaming up again after a very successful concert called Crossroads that they performed in 2018 at The Green Room 42.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 40 established and emerging composers, lyricists, and librettists will converge on the Goodspeed campus from mid-January through mid-February 2020 to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland's Classic Company, commences the second half its 2019-20 season with the ultimate whodunit thriller, Sleuth. The world-class production will be performed in the company's intimate and audience-friendly home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, February 14 - March 8, 2020. Great Lakes Theater's Producing Artistic Director, Charles Fee, directs the production.

West Side Story is officially in previews on Broadway! The new production is directed by Tony Award winner Ivo van Hove; and for the first time ever in the United States, will feature all-new choreography by the internationally acclaimed Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. West Side Story will begin previews on December 10, 2019 and open February 6th, 2020 at the Broadway Theatre.
