Patio Playhouse will welcome audiences for a rip-roaring good time under the open sky with its newest production I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, opening at Kit Carson Amphitheatre on August 27.

Theatre fans need not travel all the way to New York City to get a taste of Broadway. Though the Big Apple boasts perhaps the freshest productions and greatest talents in the world, many of the most successful shows on Broadway will eventually hit the road- bringing and equally magical (though sometimes slightly updated) version of their production to cities across the country.

I Love You, You're Perfect....Now Change! is an upbeat, Off Broadway musical revue that ran for more than 5000 performances from 1996-2008. Traditionally set in New York in the late-20th Century this production is an updated version for 2018. The show takes us through numerous vignettes that depict life in terms of love and romance. The themes are glimpses into the reality of life and love - the Manhattan dating scene, mid-life suburban marriage and old age and all the humour, hurt and beautifully ragged emotion it entails. Jimmy Roberts' perky music with book and adorably humble lyrics by Joe DiPietro are cute, funny, poignant and totally relatable. It holds up a mirror with a gentle, warm and charming hand and encourages us to laugh at ourselves.

The Tabard Theatre has been rebranded as Chiswick Playhouse. If their opening production is anything to go by, it promises a highly exciting new chapter for this long standing West London venue.

Producing Artistic Director Chuck Tobin today announced the July 17 opening of the Off-Broadway musical revue I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change at Saint Michael's Playhouse in Colchester, Vermont. I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change features a book and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Joe DiPietro (Memphis, Nice Work If You Can Get It) and music by Jimmy Roberts (The Velveteen Rabbit, The Thing About Men) and is directed by Keith Andrews who has directed numerous SMP productions (Spamalot, Young Frankenstein, Million Dollar Quartet).

I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE is an excellent show that takes a comedic look at male/female dynamics among singles and among married people. The stellar cast of Jon Escobar, Nick D'Angelo, Kristin Iovene, and Cristin Marshall all play multiple roles, all in which all four of them excel. I highly recommend this show for single and married adults. The Connecticut Cabaret Theatre in BErlin, CT has yet again presented a first-rate show.

The International Festival of Arts & Ideas today announced complete details for Festival 2019, which opens on June 8 and continues for two weeks through June 22 in New Haven, Connecticut.

'I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change' is being performed on the Hamilton Stage of Union County Performing Arts Center (UCPAC) through March 11th. The poignant, yet hilarious musical comedy has a book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts. The show is directed and produced by Brian Remo and Jessica Foerst with musical direction by Alex Golden. Broadwayworld had the great pleasure of attending one of the opening weekend performances.
