Following on the footsteps of Hotsy Totsy Burlesque's successful Disney, Harry Potter, The Big Lebowski, Mad Men, Doctor Who and Star Wars 1978 Holiday Special tribute shows, Cherry Pitz and Joe the Shark present a burlesque tribute to Downton Abbey. 

The bloody story of the two queens of Sydney's seedy underworld are recounted in Kate Mulley (book and lyrics) and Andy Peterson's (music) RAZORHURST.

The Canadian Opera Company is proud to partner with the National Arts Centre in co-commissioning new work to replace the music from the Kuyas aria that opens the third act of Louis Riel by composer Harry Somers and librettist Mavor Moore. Composer Ian Cusson, of M tis and French-Canadian descent, has been commissioned to create this new work for the opera, last performed at both the COC and NAC in 2017.

Gloucester Stage Company kicks off its 40th Anniversary Season of professional theater with Neil Simon's romantic comedy, Barefoot in the Park from June 7 through June 30 at Gloucester Stage Company, 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Performances are Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 pm. Neil Simon's longest-running hit, and the tenth longest-running non-musical play in Broadway history, Barefoot in the Park opens as newlyweds Corie & Paul move into a sixth floor walk up off Third Avenue in the east 40's of Manhattan and follows the young couple as they quickly discover there's more to marriage than meets the eye.

It was announced today that The Radio City Rockettes will open this year's Chita Rivera Awards with a show stopping performance of 'New York, New York.' The Rockettes history with Chita Rivera dates back more than 30 years when the renowned precision dance company performed alongside Rivera in the 1988 tour of Can-Can.

Boston Landmarks Orchestra (LO) under the direction of Music Director Christopher Wilkins, and Executive Director Jo Frances Meyer, announces its 2019 season of free concerts at the DCR's Hatch Memorial Shell on the Esplanade. In 2017, the Broadway musical version of Anastasia (which opened at Hartford Stage nice months earlier), based on the 1997 film, featuring music by Stephen Flaherty, lyrics by Lynn Ahrens and a book by Terrence McNally debuted to much fanfare, and now Nashville audiences are in the thrall of the cast and crew of the national touring company, onstage at Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall through Sunday, March 24.

The legendary jazz musician Bix Beiderbecke will be celebrated by cornetist Mike Davis and a phenomenal ensemble at the Bickford Theatre's popular Bix Beiderbecke's Birthday Bash - a jazz concert, on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 7:30 p.m.

The Philharmonia Orchestra opens its 75th birthday celebrations in January 2020 with the opening weekend of Philharmonia at 75, conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen. The weekend features a programme centred on the year 1945 (16 Jan 2020), when the Philharmonia was founded, and the world premiere of a horn concerto by Mark-Anthony Turnage, commissioned by the Philharmonia, in a programme inspired by famous French Horn players linked to the Orchestra, including Dennis Brain, Richard Watkins (soloist on this occasion) and Esa-Pekka Salonen himself.

Capitol Center for the Arts (Concord, NH) will host America's Got Talent's Season 11 finalist (and America's Got Talent: The Champions contestant) TAPE FACE on Friday, March 15 at 7pm. His 2017 inaugural appearance at the CCA was an audience favorite.

Beginning June 5 and continuing through the 29th, San Francisco Opera presents a trio of extraordinary lyric works Georges Bizet's Carmen, George Frideric Handel's Orlando and Anton n Dvo k's Rusalka featuring powerful leading women in the title roles. Spanning three centuries and sung in French, Italian and Czech, the 2019 Summer Season repertory will occasion the Company debuts of four conductors, including two women, in productions that are new to the War Memorial Opera House stage. Some casting updates for the repertory were announced today and additional casting of supporting roles will be released at a future date.

Producer Ken Davenport (Once on This Island, Spring Awakening) has obtained the Broadway stage rights to the life story of the great American singer, songwriter, actor and activist, Harry Belafonte.
