Transport Group has announced that additional casting for Promises, Promises-its second musical in this season's Anne L. Bernstein Concert Series-will include Stanley Bahorek (Amazing Grace, Queen of the Mist), Lauren Blackman (Anastasia), Hannah Corneau (Hedwig and the Angry Inch), Marc Kudisch (Finding Neverland, Hand to God), Sean Mclaughlin (Hello Dolly), Bruce Sabath (Cagney), Tally Sessions (War Paint), and Ali Stroker (Spring Awakening).

From the start to end of 2018, Art Factory will have presented eight fully produced musicals, and six explosive concerts. Four musicals and five concerts remain for audiences to enjoy before the end of the year!

What could leave Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati's artistic director of 22 years, D. Lynn Meyers, beaming in the lobby as if she had produced her very first show? Perhaps it was the sound of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH'S enthusiastic opening night audience, positively bubbling as they exited the theatre.

Free (The Fantasticks), MYCARL PRODUCTIONS, in association with the award-winning KAMPFIRE FILMS, comes BECKYS THROUGH HISTORY a series of short, highly satirical videos examining the often problematic relationship between white women and people of color throughout history.

The Play Company (PlayCo), led by Founding Producer Kate Loewald and Managing Director Robert G. Bradshaw, today announces the complete cast for Toshiki Okada's Time's Journey Through a Room, marking PlayCo's third collaboration with Okada, translator Aya Ogawa, and director Dan Rothenberg, May 10 - June 10, 2018. This haunting play, set in post-Fukushima Japan, will star three Japanese born performers, all of whom are now based in New York: Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment.

Theatre for a New Audience (TFANA; Jeffrey Horowitz, Founding Artistic Director) announces a public reading of Obie and Drama Desk Award-winning playwright Will Eno's Gnit, directed by Oliver Butler (The Open House, 2014), and starring acclaimed stage and screen actor Michael C. Hall (stage: Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway, David Bowie's Lazarus at NYTW; screen: Six Feet Under, Dexter). The reading will take place June 18 at 7pm at Polonsky Shakespeare Center (262 Ashland Place, Brooklyn, NY).

On Your Feet is precisely where you will find yourself at the end of this spectacular show! The familiar music is peppy and moving, and the crowd enjoyed the infectious dance groove laid down by the band which included 5 original members of The Miami Sound Machine.

This haunting play, set in Japan after the Fukushima disaster, stars the Japanese-born, New York based performers Yuki Kawahisa (Honoka), Maho Honda (Arisa) and Kensaku Shinohara (Kazuki). The play is both an intimate examination of how we move forward from life-altering events, and a study of how we experience time, asking whether we can ever be alive to the present moment. 

Overture Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the Wisconsin premiere and the state's only engagement of the hit Broadway musical ON YOUR FEET! will take the Overture Hall stage Today, May 15-Sunday, May 20. Based on the life story of seven-time GRAMMY® winning international superstar Gloria Estefan and her husband, 19-time GRAMMY® winning producer-musician-entrepreneur Emilio Estefan, the first national tour stars Cuban-American Broadway actress Christie Prades as Gloria Estefan, and acclaimed stage and television actor Mauricio Martinez as Emilio Estefan.

Azuka Theatre ends the 2017-2018 season with the world premiere of Mrs. Harrison, by R. Eric Thomas, from May 2 to20, 2018. Mrs.Harrison is the third and final show of the season that celebrated Azuka's commitment to notable Philadelphia playwrights and unique Philadelphia voices. Producing Artistic Director Kevin Glaccum directs this suspenseful dark comedy and drama about two women, one story and their very different memories about their relationship in college. The show runs through May 20, 2018, for a total of 18 performances.  All performances will take place at the Louis Bluver Theatre at The Drake, 302 S. Hicks Street. Acclaimed podcast producers WNYC Studios and Night Vale Presents today announced a new partnership. WNYC Studios will present a deluxe edition of the first season of the cult-favorite fictional podcast, THE ORBITING HUMAN CIRCUS (OF THE AIR). In addition, WNYC Studios and Night Vale Presents will co-produce the show's second season.

Metropolitan Entertainment and New Jersey Performing Arts Center present actors and musicians Lea Michele and Darren Criss in concert this June. The duo will hit the stage together and solo, performing songs from Broadway, Glee and original songs from their recent solo albums. The co-headlining limited run tour was announced this afternoon during an appearance on the Ellen DeGeneres Show and kicks off May 30, 2018 in Nashville.  The LM/DC tour makes only one New York City stop in Newark, NJ at NJPAC on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 8pm.
