From the songwriting team behind the smash hit, Tony Award-winning musical Dear Evan Hansen and the Academy Award-winning film La La Land, A Christmas Story, The Musical, brings the classic 1983 movie to hilarious life on stage in New Orleans at the Saenger Theatre Dec. 17-22, 2019. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, A Christmas Story, The Musical, is part of the Hancock Whitney Broadway in New Orleans 2019-2020 season.

Sarasota Opera announced its 2019-2020 Fall and Winter Festival Seasons today at a press conference held on the Sarasota Opera House main stage in Sarasota, Florida. Netflix has optioned the rights to The New York Times bestseller Shoe Dog, written by Phil Knight. Five-time Academy Award nominated producer Frank Marshall will produce the film alongside Knight. Golden Globe and Emmy Award winners Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (Dolemite Is My Name!, Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flynt, The People v. O.J.
