The time has come for the 63rd Annual Drama Desk Awards, hosted by Michael Urie, June 3 (8:00 PM) at The Town Hall in Manhattan.

New York Theatre Workshop held it's 2018 Annual Gala last night, April 15. The gala celebrated John Tiffany, the Tony Award-winning Director of Once, which had its world premiere at NYTW, as well as Harry Potter and the Cursed Child; along with Barbara Cutler Emden, who is celebrating 25 years of arts advocacy and exceptional service on the NYTW Board of Trustees.

A., I am reporting on an historic event in which I participated at St. Luke's Theatre on March 26th, 2018 in NYC: the 40th-year anniversary and reunion of the cast members of the opening of Tony Award-Winning Bob Fosse's DANCIN' on Broadway at The Broadhurst Theatre on March 27, 1978.

Michael Park announces that, following a hugely successful three-week run at West Yorkshire Playhouse earlier this year, Christine Mary Dunford's newly adapted version of Lisa Genova's best-selling novel, STILL ALICE, will tour the UK from September 2018, directed by David Grindley and starring Sharon Small as Alice. The tour will open at the Sheffield Lyceum from 12 to 15 September and will play Richmond Theatre from 18 to 22 September, King's Theatre Edinburgh from 25 to 29 September, Norwich Theatre Royal from 2 to 6 October the Yvonne Arnaud, Guildford from 9 to 13 October and Festival Theatre, Malvern from 20 to 24 November. Further venues and casting are to be announced.

With Mapping Brent running at venues across the local community, Artistic Director Indhu Rubasingham today announces the opening season at the company's newly refurbished theatre, which sees the Tricycle Theatre relaunch as Kiln Theatre. Stephen Sondheim's musical Company made a sensation when it premiered on Broadway in 1970, winning six Tony awards and being nominated for a record-breaking fourteen. Savvy, urbane, with a brilliant score and dazzling lyrics, Sondheim's exploration of the joys and travails of marriage remains a masterwork of the musical stage. The current revival, directed by Linda Sturdivant, at Biddeford's City Theater gives a classy account of this complex work.
