Fountain Hills Theater announces the Arizona premiere of the comedy My First Time.

Everyone loves a little nostalgia, especially when it comes to their favorite television shows and movies growing up. For millennials and Gen Z-ers, these probably include a few DCOMs (Disney Channel Original Movie) and series. Several of the stars of these films and TV shows have gone on to further their acting and singing careers on Broadway, and some even got their start on the stage. Below is a list of stars that you may or may not know have a few theatre credits under their belt!

The Rose Art Museum has announced that three major works have newly entered the museum's permanent collection. The most recent acquisitions purchased with funds from museum endowments include Betye Saar's mixed media assemblage Supreme Quality (1998), Ralph Coburn's multi-part painting Random Sequence Participatory Composition (1962), and Joe Overstreet's monumental sculptural painting untitled (1972) from the Flight Patterns series. These important works add further depth to the Rose's outstanding modern and contemporary collection and join new and significant works by Cuban artist Zilia Sanchez and American artists Kay Rosen and Adam Pendleton that have been added to the permanent collection within the last two years.

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has announced the winners of the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards, celebrating and rewarding the very best programmes and performances of 2018. Morrissey hit Broadway for the first time in his career playing a retrospective show at New York City's hallowed Lunt-Fontanne Theater. The affair will run for seven days through May 11th and promises an intimate yet exciting exploration of Morrissey's expansive career from his early days to his upcoming new record 'California Son': a collection of 1960/70s classic covers out on May 24th via Etienne Records/BMG.

Steve Martin and Martin Short will bring their critically acclaimed comedy tour Now You See Them, Soon You Won't for the first time to Australian and New Zealand audiences in November. This celebrated comedy show redefines the form in unexpected and profound ways, from two of the funniest, most influential and acclaimed talents of the past century. The duo will be joined on stage by Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers. Tickets for Now You See Them, Soon You Won't go on sale Tuesday, 7 May. Artistic Director Eric Schaeffer and Managing Director Maggie Boland announce the full lineup for Signature Theatre's 2019/20 season.

Hartford Stage announced today the last two plays of the 56th season. Incoming Hartford Stage Artistic Director Melia Bensussenwill stage the Eugene O'Neill coming-of-age comedy Ah, Wilderness! It will be Bensussen's first production as Artistic Director at Hartford Stage. Former Hartford Stage Artistic Director Michael Wilson will return to direct the original play that inspired the Oscar-winning film The King's Speech, written by its Oscar-winning screenwriter David Seidler.

Clean Break continues its 40th anniversary year following the success of its Spring season, which opened with the sold-out run of Inside Bitch at the Royal Court Theatre.

Folsom Lake College welcomes actor, producer and humanitarian Danny Glover to the Harris Center in a lecture moderated by KFBK's Kitty O'Neal. A commanding presence on screen, stage, and television for more than 25 years, Danny Glover's film credits range from the blockbuster Lethal Weapon franchise to the Oscar-nominated hit Dreamgirls, to smaller independent features — some of which Glover also produced. The son of civil rights activists, he has gained respect and renown for his wide-reaching community activism and philanthropic efforts, and currently serves as an Ambassador for UNICEF.

National New Play Network, the country's alliance of nonprofit theaters that collaborate in innovative ways to develop, produce, and extend the life of new plays, announces the continuation of two Rolling World Premieres: Apple Season by E.M. Lewis, which opens in Iowa City at Riverside Theatre (running March 29-April 20, 2019), and Gabriel Jason Dean's Heartland at Philadelphia's InterAct Theatre Company (running March 29-April 21, 2019). 

As his production of Richard Hawley and Chris Bush's Standing at the Sky's Edge opens in the Crucible, Artistic Director of Sheffield Theatres, Robert Hastie, announces programming for 2019.

The San Francisco-based Kronos Quartet/Kronos Performing Arts Association(KPAA) is pleased to present Kronos Festival 2019, Kronos' fifth annual, three-day music festival, at SFJAZZ Center on May 30-June 1. Kronos Festival 2019 will highlight the voices of singers, storytellers, and activists over three evening concerts, a Saturday morning family concert and Kronos Labs, free public events that are new this year. Kronos has long collaborated with vocal artists, including in its recent Grammy Award­-winning album Landfall (Nonesuch Records) with Laurie Anderson and its new album Placeless (Kirkelig Kulturverksted) with Iranian singers Mahsa and Marjan Vahdat.

Abrons Arts Center (AAC), the Lower East Side arts institution that has long been a nexus of creative communities and local cultures, is pleased to announce its 2019-2020 Jerome Foundation AIRspace Residents, a group of four interdisciplinary artists engaged in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, and social practices. In addition, Abrons is launching its first-ever Promoting the Arts Throughout Henry Street (PATHS) residency program, selecting four artists for the program's inaugural cohort.
