Cortland Rep Announces 50th Anniversary Summer Season For 2022

Cortland Repertory Theatre has announced their 2022 5-show summer season to be held at the Little York Pavilion in Preble, NY, as a celebration of their 50th Anniversary. The season will run from June 8 – August 20 and will contain three musicals and two plays.

George Takei Announced as Grand Marshall of Inaugural Japan Parade in NYC

The first ever Japan Parade in New York City will be held on Saturday, May 14, beginning at 1pm.  The purpose of the parade is to celebrate, express and bring awareness to the friendship between NYC and Japan with a thank you from the Japanese community. Actor, author, civil rights activist George Takei will be the Parade’s Grand Marshall.

Stage and Screen Actor William Hurt Dies at 71

While best known for his roles in film, Hurt got his start on the stage in the 1970s. He appeared on Broadway in Hurlyburly in 1984, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. Hurt also performed in various off-Broadway productions including Henry V, Fifth of July, Richard II and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
