Cortland Repertory Theatre has announced their 2022 5-show summer season to be held at the Little York Pavilion in Preble, NY, as a celebration of their 50th Anniversary. The season will run from June 8 – August 20 and will contain three musicals and two plays.

The first ever Japan Parade in New York City will be held on Saturday, May 14, beginning at 1pm.  The purpose of the parade is to celebrate, express and bring awareness to the friendship between NYC and Japan with a thank you from the Japanese community. Actor, author, civil rights activist George Takei will be the Parade’s Grand Marshall.

New York City Opera will present Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's thrilling double bill, The Seven Deadly Sins & Mahagonny Songspiel, for the first time ever told as one story, a tragic fable for today.

While best known for his roles in film, Hurt got his start on the stage in the 1970s. He appeared on Broadway in Hurlyburly in 1984, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. Hurt also performed in various off-Broadway productions including Henry V, Fifth of July, Richard II and A Midsummer Night's Dream. 

The Atlanta Opera has announced a new season of large-scale performances at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre for 2022-23 with a spirit of positivity and optimism for the future.

During ABC's 'Soul of a Nation' special 'Screen Queens Rising,' when the casting was announced, anchor Linsey Davis surprised Brooks with a video from the moment Oprah Winfrey surprised her with the news. Michael John LaChiusa's See What I Wanna See, a musical based on three short stories by the Japanese writer Ryunosuke Akutagawa, originally premiered Off-Broadway in 2005. Nominated for nine Drama Desk Awards, this compelling musical about lust, greed, murder, faith, and redemption sheds light on truth and perspective.

CLASSIC WHITNEY: ALIVE! - The hit solo show from Broadway's KEVIN SMITH KIRKWOOD, will make it's triumphant post-pandemic return to Joe's Pub on Monday, January 24th at 9:30PM.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley will resume in-person performances when it launches its previously announced 51st season, featuring eight plays and musicals presented October 2021 through August 2022, kicking off with the new indie folk-rock musical Lizard Boy.

The Board of Directors of The Music Center today announced the appointment to the board of Kent Kresa, retired chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman Corporation; Keith Leonard, current chairman and former chief executive officer of UNITY Biotechnology; Johnese Spisso, president of UCLA Health, CEO of UCLA Hospital System and associate vice chancellor of UCLA Health Sciences; and Jennifer Walske, interim faculty director of Impact@Anderson at UCLA.

Center Theatre Group announced today that the 54th season at the Ahmanson Theatre will begin November 30, 2021, three months later than it was most recently scheduled and 20 months after the theatre closed in March of 2020.
