In keeping with the idea of folk music as an instrument for change, Gilkyson is announcing her new release, 2020, a collection of politically charged anthems designed to motivate, reflect and inspire action during what she believes will be “the most important USA election of our lifetime.” She is sharing the song 'Sooner or Later' today at Billboard, which writes 'the bluesy, biting 'Sooner or Later' is intended as a rallying cry and a statement of purpose.' Gilkyson examines the inequality in our world right now and warns that sooner or later we're 'gonna rise up, gonna take all back.'

SUPER BOWL GREATEST COMMERCIALS 2020, an interactive countdown special where viewers will be able to vote LIVE for the most hilarious and most heartfelt Super Bowl commercial, will be broadcast Wednesday, Jan. 29 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The Warner Theatre will welcome comedian and actor KEVIN JAMES to the Main Stage on Thursday, September 19 at 7:30 pm. Last night the heaven's opened the flood gates and it rained as if a hurricane was upon us in Miami, Florida. I have never seen so many lightning bolts nor that much flooding on I-95. Although not many people braved the storm, I was proud to be among the few that came to watch the Adrienne Arsht Center and The House Theatre of Chicago's UNITED FLIGHT 232. In one word, exquisite. The storytelling was incredibly inspired. I have a brand new appreciation and love for documentary style theatre. In the intimate Carnival Studio Theatre, it was hard not to hear the very visceral response the audience was having. As tears ran down my face, I could hear the muffled sounds of crying as the remarkable cast told the true story of fatal United Flight 232. It's adapted for the stage from the critically acclaimed book, Flight 232: A Story of Disaster and Survival by Laurence Gonzales.

Oh my god, I have literally nothing to say about Les Miz. Well, maybe not nothing... not literally! It's not gonna be hard to throw these out, I'll tell you that much. I have so many freaking Les Miz CDs and they all take up so much space at two--even three--discs a pop. The only one I ever really listened to in its entirety more than a couple of times was the Original London cast anyway.

The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, today unveiled its feature film lineup. Continuing its tradition of elevating exceptional storytelling rooted in today's global film communities, the 18th annual Festival will showcase debut works from emerging talent and new works from notable filmmakers. The program includes discoveries, comedies, music-centered, political and social films. The 2019 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 24 - May 5.
