As Geva opens its 47th season, the organization looks outside of their four walls to focus firmly on education and community engagement and to be the leader in the area for connecting theatre directly and deeply to its constituents. Current programming occupies all available space in Geva's 150-year old historic home. Renovations completed in 2016 included the addition of a hospitality suite, and those rooms now host a full schedule of events for both Geva and, as an additional revenue stream, as rental venue to outside organizations.

Rose Theatre Kingston today announces the full cast for Hansel & Gretel, a new festive version with original music. Director of Learning and Participation, Ciaran McConville, returns with a new version of the Brothers' Grimm classic following last year's successful adaptation of Alice in Winterland. Rosie Jones directs a cast of local young actors from the Rose Youth Theatre led by a team of professional actors including Devon Black (Mother/Bear/Townsperson), Vanessa Fisher (Red/Townsperson), Elliot Fitzpatrick (Otto/Kabeljau), J.J. Henry (Gerhardt/Blue) and Georgina White (Circe). The production opens on Friday 14 December, with previews from Thursday 6 December, and runs until Sunday 6 January 2019.

Alexander Vlahos (BBC's Versailles & Merlin) has been confirmed to star as Captain Hook in a revival of the original 1904 Peter Pan play by J.M. Barrie. The production will also be the first Park Theatre production ever to feature flying effects. Co-starring Nickcolia King-N'Da as Peter Pan and directed by Jonathan O'Boyle, the renowned family favourite from Neverland promises to sprinkle a little fairy dust over London this Christmas.

Basically it is two guys talking for a couple of hours. They also have coffee and eat. White (J. Barrett Cooper) is a professor whose suicide attempt was thwarted earlier by Black (Clyde Tyrone Harper). Now they are in Black's apartment engaged in conversation about theology, morality, and the nature of human existence.

Scottish rock mainstays We Were Promised Jetpacks have announced the 10th anniversary edition of their acclaimed debut album These Four Walls. Long a sought after collector's item, We Were Promised Jetpacks' debut LP, These Four Walls, had a scant US vinyl release that appeared only as imports in 2009. Now the album, full of explosive energy and knife-edge tension, packed with a bounty of fans' live favorites and unreleased tracks including demos, acoustic sessions (including a cover of 'Modern Leper' by fellow Scots and good friends Frightened Rabbit) and live tracks from a very early gig at Barfly in Glasgow will be released via FatCat. The bonus tracks will only be available on the limited editon gold vinyl release on FatCat (pre-order). Jacob's Pillow presents the Pillow debut of Compagnie CNDC-Angers/Robert Swinston as part of the global Merce Cunningham Centennial, July 3-7 in the Ted Shawn Theatre. Synetic's OZ has moved to a new location: Devine Theater At Georgetown University July 11 Through August 12. The location is changing because the performance space at Synetic Theater (1800 S. Bell St.) is temporarily unavailable due to excessive water damage from a sprinkler system/pipe malfunction. The resulting damage has forced the team to move its upcoming production of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to the Devine Theater located in the Davis Performing Arts Center on the Georgetown University campus.
