R&B super group The O'Jays will celebrate the release of their final album, The Last Word (to be released April 19th), with a performance at the Apollo Theater on Friday, April 26 at 8:00PM. The legendary group has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Vocal Group Hall of Fame, the Official R&B Music Hall of Fame and honored with BET's Lifetime Achievement Award. Today GLENN SHORROCK, elder statesmen of Australian contemporary show business and two time ARIA Hall of Fame inductee is releasing his newest solo record Glenn Shorrock Sings Little River Band via Social Family Records. 

Meat Puppets original lineup - Curt and Cris Kirkwood and returning drummer Derrick Bostrom - are back with Dusty Notes (Megaforce), marking their first album together since 1995's No Joke!.  The Puppets' US tour begins April 4 and tickets are on sale now.      

Fences, August Wilson's towering, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama about an embittered black man denied his dream and the soul-searing wounds he inflicts on his family, opens at Palm Beach Dramaworks on Friday, March 29 (8pm) at the Don & Ann Brown Theatre. Performances continue through April 21, with specially priced previews on March 27 and 28.

Katherine Helmond, the Tony-nominated and Emmy-nominated actress, has passed away February 23 of Alzheimer's complications at her home in Los Angeles, according to Deadline. She was 89.

The Broadway community mourns the loss of Carol Channing, a Tony Award winner and theatrical legend, who passed away on Tuesday, January 15 at age 97. To commemorate her life and work, the Committee of Theatre Owners will dim the lights of Broadway theatres in New York for one minute on Wednesday, January 16 at exactly 7:45pm.
