Alan Parsons, singer, musician, record producer and recording engineer, brings the Alan Parsons Live Project to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, September 18 at 8pm. The 29th annual Inside Out Toronto LGBT Film Festival (Inside Out), championing innovative LGBTQ filmmakers from across the globe, revealed its full feature and short film lineup. The announcement was made today by Inside Out's Executive Director Andria Wilson and the festival's Director of Programming Andrew Murphy. Inside Out, which launched the first ever annual LGBTQ Film Finance Forum, has established itself as an international home and incubator for LGBTQ emerging and established filmmakers. This year's festival will take place May 23 to June 2, 2019.

Each year, to honor and celebrate the legacy of first lady Betty Ford, the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation hosts the America's First Ladies Luncheon Series. This year's presentation, “Inside the White House: Behind the Scenes of the First Lady's Office,” will feature Anita McBride, former chief of staff to first lady Laura Bush; Tina Tchen, former chief of staff to first lady Michelle Obama; and Chef Roland Mesnier, former White House pastry chef. 

The Cure, Def Leppard, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Radiohead, Roxy Music and The Zombies are the inductees on the exclusive HBO special 2019 ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION CEREMONY, debuting SATURDAY, APRIL 27 (8:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT). This year's ceremony boasted a star-studded array of guests and presenters, including Harry Styles, Janelle Monae, Don Henley, Brian May, David Byrne, Simon Le Bon, John Taylor, Trent Reznor, Ian Hunter and Susanna Hoffs.

Harvey Sabinson, one of Broadway's legendary press agents, and former long-time executive director of The Broadway League, died on April 18, 2019 of natural causes at his residence in Sarasota, Florida. He was 94 years old.

With the recent success of partnerships with BabyMetal, Andy Black and Skillet, Z2 Comics continues to solidify their place as the premier creator of music-affiliated graphic novels. The company has entered in to their largest partnership to date creating a graphic novel for the iconic Grateful Dead. Grateful Dead Origins takes an in depth and personal look at the formation of one of the most important American rock bands of all time, exploring the early days of Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Pigpen, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart. The story of the band's transformation from a bar band performing as the Warlocks to becoming the creators of their own sound and forefathers for the jamband culture is depicted in the original story written by Chris Miskiewicz and illustrated by Noah Van Sciver. The graphic novel will be scheduled for release in early 2020.

Emerson College, the nation's premier institution for the arts, communication, and the liberal arts, today announced its honorary degree recipients for 2019. On Sunday, May 12, during Emerson College's 139th Commencement ceremony, the college will honor four award-winning scholars, authors, writers, and filmmakers for their contributions and efforts to highlight diverse stories and voices through their work. Award-winning journalist, speaker and author Soledad O'Brien; award-winning scholar and writer Nell Irvin Painter; Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Emmy- nominated filmmaker and theatrical producer Jose Antonio Vargas; and the President of Miami Dade College Eduardo J. Padron will each receive honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees. O'Brien will give the commencement address.

Irish Repertory Theatre presents A 30th Anniversary Celebration, this season's Gala benefit production, on Monday June 17th at 7:00PM at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center (1941 Broadway, New York, NY 10023). The evening will honor President Bill Clinton for his work on the historic Good Friday Agreement, securing peace in Northern Ireland.

According to Variety, Denzel Washington is in talks to join the new cop-thriller from WB titled LITTLE THINGS. John Lee Hancock is set to write and potentially direct as well.

Katherine Helmond, the Tony-nominated and Emmy-nominated actress, has passed away February 23 of Alzheimer's complications at her home in Los Angeles, according to Deadline. She was 89.
