Patti LuPone will return to the film world in the historical epic, 'Cliffs of Freedom' with Christopher Plummer. The film depicts the start of the Greek War of Independence in 1821 and is directed by Van Ling, who co-wrote the screenplay with Marianne Metropoulos and Kevin Bernhardt. 

Pasadena Playhouse, the State Theater of California, will transform the historic theater with an all new version of Ragtime: The Musical as it returns to Los Angeles more than two decades after its premiere at the Shubert Theatre. With 21 actors and a 16-piece orchestra, this is one of the most ambitious productions in the Playhouse's recent history.

Directed by Dennis Garnhum, this award-winning production tells the true story of Marc Hall, the Ontario teenager who took his school board to court when it refused to let him attend prom with his boyfriend. PROM QUEEN: The Musical runs for 12 performances only on the Spriet Stage from September 18 to 29, 2018.

Disney's hit West End musicals Aladdin and The Lion King have today announced that a summer Pop-Up will open its doors to Disney fans old and new in Covent Garden throughout August. Attending The Groundlings shows on a Friday or Saturday night, you will sure to hear one of the most rocking bands in Los Angeles or anywhere smoking music is appreciated. The Groundlings Band consists of Larry Treadwell on guitar, Greg Kanaga on drums and musical director Matthew Loren Cohen on keyboards. I managed to lightly twist the arm of Larry to chat with me before rehearsing the next Friday/Saturday show GROUNDLINGS ROAD TRIP PARTY.

As previously announced, Patti LuPone will guest star in upcoming episode of MOM on CBS. LuPone will play Rita, the new owner of the building that is managed by Bonnie (Allison Janney). Rita is a bit of a live wire: Freshly divorced, she's either barking orders or sharing way too much about her personal life. The episode is set to air Thursday, April 26 (9:01-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra Presents Bach's Complete Brandenburg Concertos May 17–20 in Newark, Princeton, Red Bank and New Brunswick. Concertmaster Eric Wyrick explores performance practices from Baroque to contemporary as he leads his colleagues. NJSO musicians perform solo roles in the six concertos, each of which is scored for a different combination of instruments.
