The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dance proudly presents Los Nutcrackers: A Christmas Carajo, written by Charles Rice-González and directed by Fernando Vieira. This year marks the play's 16th year at BAAD!, and the second time that Vieira helms the work. The play interweaves two holiday classics, The Nutcracker and A Christmas Carol, to create a queer, Latino play about a couple who go on a psychedelic trip through their lives one Christmas Eve.

Ovation, America's only arts network, announced today their full slate of holiday programming for winter 2019. Starting Monday, December 9, the arts network will begin airing holiday films as well as special holiday episodes from such series as The Art Of, Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, The Librarians, Travel Man, and Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Directed by Hiroshi Akabane and starring Hisaaki Takeuchi, Yoshiko Sengen, Tamao Sato, and Kei Kinoshita, IMMORTAL HERO is based on the original story by Executive Producer Ryuho Okawa and adapted to the screen by his daughter, Sayaka Okawa. IMMORTAL HERO will make its world premiere at the 2019 San Diego International Film Festival in the narrative competition category on October 16, 2019 at the Theatre Box, followed by a theatrical release on October 18th.
