Across the EP LUCI’s incomparable vocal dexterity and incredibly self aware and reflective mindset are on display as she explores everything. Porchlight Music Theatre will conclude the eighth season of its “lost” musicals series with Porchlight Revisits Passing Strange, book and lyrics by Stew, music by Heidi Rodewald and Stew, direction by Donterrio, music directed by Justin Akira Kono and choreography by Terri K Woodall, May 18 and 19.

Like so many artists the world over, acclaimed Irish singer Róisín O watched as her plans for 2020 turned to dust in the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic and ensuing lockdowns. As weeks turned to months, she used the down time to rethink her musical trajectory and return to the solo work she had once left behind.

But their third full-length album ventures into a new season: both members, Doug Kwartler and Susan Levine, lost parents during the making of the record, which profoundly impacted their perspective. The characters in these songs are no longer lamenting about being lied to or hurt by others.

Actress-singer Sally Kellerman, who achieved worldwide movie fame for her role as Margaret “Hot Lips” Houlihan in Robert Altman's classic 1970 film “M*A*S*H,” with Donald Sutherland and Elliott Gould, died early this morning (Feb. 24) in her sleep from heart failure at her home in Woodland Hills.  She was 84.  For her iconic role, she was nominated as “Best Supporting Actress” by both the Oscars and Golden Globes.  It was reported by her manager and publicist Alan Eichler.
