The Spring 2026 season has officially begun, and with it, comes new plays for theatre lovers of all kinds. Whether you live for intense dramas or would rather escape with zany comedies, there's something for everyone both on and off-Broadway in March 2026.

From July 10 to August 16, the eagerly awaited Here Comes J Edgar! machine guns its way onto the stage of King's Head Theatre, headed by a crack team of creatives.

Recently, Michael’s production of the new play, Incitation of the Dance, opened at Theatre West. Its title Inspired by Gene Kelly's 1956 film; Invitation to the Dance, this dark comedy explores the complexities of older gay relationships—described by one critic as a 'gay gray play.' The production runs from February 27 to March 15. $10 off for tix bought in advance online.   It will be followed by a two-night engagement of My Uterus: A Womb with a View, written and performed by DINA MORRONE.  On  Mother's Day there will be a Theatre West cabaret concert of 30 years of Broadway hit show tunes for moms, dads, sibs and caretakers.  

TOSOS, NYC's pioneering LGBTQIA+ theater company, will present the world premiere of OUR HOUSE, exploring family dynamics and societal challenges in pre-marriage equality Iowa. Directed by Mark Finley, the show features a diverse cast and runs from February 26 to March 21.

To say that the Tony Award-winning 2022 musical “Some Like It Hot,” which Broadway in Boston is presenting at Citizens Opera House through February 8, has quite a pedigree is putting it mildly.

The Boston Modern Orchestra Project (BMOP) has announced the wide-ranging program of its Winter-Spring 2026 season, approaching its 30th year. Season’s highlights include Boston performances of a trio of monodramas, the revival of a neglected opera, and the world premiere of three BMOP-commissioned orchestral works.

Hershey Theatre has announced four additional performances for its spring–fall 2026 reopening lineup. The newly added events include appearances by Anne Wilson, America, Daniel Tosh, and Brad Williams.

Carol Burnett has funded a scholarship at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. The scholarship will support undergraduate students in the school’s Ray Bolger Musical Theater Program.

Diane Keaton made her Broadway debut in the original Broadway production of Hair at the age of 22. The landmark musical started out at the Public Theater off-Broadway in 1967 before transferring to the Biltmore Theatre on Broadway in 1968. Keaton joined the cast for the Broadway run, originating her track in the show.

The infectiously joyful show's marvelous touring production—directed and choreographed with rousing, kinetic energy by Casey Nicholaw direct from its Broadway origins—continues performances at OC's Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, CA through October 19, 2025.

BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Pat Crowley, actress of the stage and screen, has passed away at the age of 91. Though mostly known for her work in Hollywood, Crowley appeared in three Broadway productions as a young performer in the early 1950s.
