Playwrights Foundation, the West Coast's premier launchpad for exceptional new plays and playwrights, has announced the playwright cohort for the 46th Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF46) which will be presented in a hybrid festival with in-person readings April 12 - 21, 2024 in San Francisco and on-demand recordings released post festival.

The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (Central) and New Earth Theatre have announced a new associateship, which will bring higher education arts training and the industry closer together.    

Frankie Bridge will join the cast of 2:22 - A Ghost Story playing the character Lauren in her West End debut after Sophia Bush has had to withdraw from the production due to illness. Frankie Bridge will perform from August until the end of the run on 17 September.

Anna Tivel recently announced Outsiders (Live in a Living Room). Elton John's record-breaking Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour reached its conclusion last night, Saturday, July 9, with an emotionally charged show at Sweden's Tele2 Arena. Tapestry Opera, Nightwood Theatre, St. Clare's have announced a significant contribution toward their new downtown arts hub at 877 Yonge Street. With the help of Councillor Dianne Saxe, the ABC Residents Association (ABCRA), and The Greater Yorkville Residents Association (GYRA), the City of Toronto has allocated $1.25 million in Section 37 funds to build the dynamic arts facility by the 2024-2025 season. The ABCRA has committed to raise an additional $250,000 in support of construction.
