Smuin Contemporary Ballet’s season finale is headlined by soaring works that highlight the company’s artistry and depth of talent, including the latest world premiere from acclaimed choreographer Amy Seiwert.

Theater for the New City will present the world premiere of Not About Me, written and directed by acclaimed playwright Eduardo Machado. Not About Me will begin previews Friday January 13th with Opening Night set for Wednesday January 18th.

Theater for the New City's Emerging Playwrights Program will be beneficiary of the theater's 20th annual Love 'n Courage benefit Monday, February 13, 2022 at The Players, 16 Gramercy Park South.

The 2023 Yale Drama Series Prize has chosen Jeremy O. Harris, the Yale alum and Tony-nominated author of Slave Play, as the presiding playwright for its landmark 15th anniversary year. Smuin Contemporary Ballet has announced its first-ever Early Bird Summer Intensive for pre-professional dancers. This four-day program, open to dancers aged 14-22, allows students to dive deeper into their artistry, learning directly from Smuin’s company artists.

Producers Brian Anthony Moreland, Sonia Friedman and Tom Kirdahy announced additional cast for the revival of August Wilson’s seminal, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama The Piano Lesson, the first Broadway revival in more than 30 years since the play’s Main Stem premiere in 1990.
