Following sell-out performances in 2016 and 2017, the London Musical Theatre Orchestra returns to the Lyceum Theatre for three performances of their critically and popularly acclaimed concert production of Alan Menken, Lynn Ahrens and Mike Ockrent's A Christmas Carol.

The month of November at the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) begins with The Mozart Experience (a pair of delightful family concerts) and ushers in the holiday season with Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker & More. Continuing its 40th Anniversary Season, Second Stage Theater has announced complete casting for the world premiere musical, SUPERHERO.

The Atlanta Opera opens the 2018-19 mainstage season with a production of Leonard Bernstein's classic Broadway musical, West Side Story. Francesca Zambello, General & Artistic Director of The Glimmerglass Festival and Artistic Director of Washington National Opera, who created this new production with Houston Grand Opera, The Glimmerglass Festival, and Lyric Opera of Chicago, will direct.

The Philadelphia Orchestra returns to Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage for three concerts this season under the leadership of Music Director and Conductor Yannick Nézet-Séguin, who is currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of his debut with the Orchestra. The first program, on Tuesday, November 13 at 8:00 p.m., also highlights Mr. Nézet-Séguin's role as music director of The Metropolitan Opera with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato joining the musicians for a performance of Chausson's Poème de l'amour et de la mer. The program also features the New York premiere of Anthology of Fantastic Zoology by Mason Bates, as well as works by Wagner and Respighi.

The Metropolitan Opera presents the North American premiere of Marnie, an original Met commission by composer Nico Muhly and librettist Nicholas Wright, on October 19, 2018, with performances continuing until November 10. Based on Winston Graham's haunting novel, which also inspired the classic Alfred Hitchcock film, Marnie is conducted by Robert Spano in his Met debut and directed by Michael Mayer, who created the staging for the opera's world premiere at English National Opera in 2017. The November 10 matinee will be transmitted live to movie theaters throughout the world as part of the Met's Live in HD series.

Classic Stage Company announces the full cast for The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Bertolt Brecht's unsettlingly timeless work, which kicks off CSC's 2018-2019 season on October 30, with rehearsals beginning this week.

Four guest vocalists and the 100-voice Northwest Indiana Symphony Chorus join New Philharmonic for "Show Boat and Show Tunes," a showcase of popular songs coming from the partnerships of Hammerstein and Kern and Rodgers and Hart, at the McAninch Arts Center, 425 Fawell Blvd.; Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, Sept. 30, 3 p.m.

The Casting Society of America (CSA) announced today the list of nominees for Outstanding Achievement in Casting in the television, theatre, short form series and short film categories. Nominees will be recognized at the 34th Annual ArtiosAwards, taking place on January 31, 2019, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles & Stage 48 in New York City.

The last two weekends in September mark the first Masterworks concerts of the 2018-19 season, both conducted by Thierry Fischer. BoHo Theatre brings its 2018 season to a close with the classic musical romance 110 IN THE SHADE with music by Harvey Schmidt and lyrics by Tom Jones (the songwriting team of THE FANTASTICKS and I DO! I DO!), and book by N. Richard Nash, based on his play THE RAINMAKER.

In a move to attract new audiences to live orchestral music, the Princeton Symphony Orchestra has expanded its concert offerings to include Saturday night (8 pm) performances at Richardson Auditorium.

Utah Symphony continues the 2018-19 season with a tribute to the quintessentially American composer Leonard Bernstein to honor his 100th birthday. Bernstein on Broadway will present the late composer's greatest Broadway classics, featuring soprano Morgan James and conducted by Teddy Abrams on September 14 and 15, 2018, at 7:30 PM.

It was today announced that Lara Pulver, Stephen Mangan, Sharon D. Clarke and Paul Nicholas will join the cast of Guys and Dolls at the Royal Albert Hall. Pulver who recently won an Olivier Award for her performance in Gypsy, and is known for her roles in Sherlock and Spooks, will play Sarah Brown. Stephen Mangan, who was in the West End earlier this year in an anniversary production of Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party, joins the cast as the narrator. Clarke, most recently on stage in acclaimed Caroline, or Change, will take the role of General Cartwright and Nicholas will be Arvide Abernathy. They join previously announced cast including Adrian Lester, Jason Manford, Meow Meow, Clive Rowe and Joe Stilgoe. Guys and Dolls will come to the iconic London venue for three performances between 19 - 20 October, directed and choreographed by Stephen Mear (Gypsy, Hello Dolly!, Mary Poppins) and featuring the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. This will be the first time it has ever been presented in its entirety at the venue.

Producer John Lant is pleased to announce another extension of the Off-Broadway premiere, and newest hit, WICKED FROZEN, the untold parody musical of some magic ice witch princesses (with unexpected emotional bite), as it rocks out until the end of 2018, and is set to continue through the New Year.
