Acclaimed GRAMMY-winning choir The Crossing is featured alongside JACK Quartet and musicians from the University of Michigan on John Luther Adams' Sila: The Breath of the World, out today on Cantaloupe Music. Bryce Davis and Cilliers opened their recital program with Richard Strauss' and John Henry Mackay's uplifting 'Heimliche Aufforderung' ('The Secret Invitation'). This joyous, celebratory composition was the composer's gift to his bride on their wedding day. Bryce-Davis sang it with exquisite vocal colors. Next was Robert Schumann 'Die Lotosblume' ('The Lotus Flower') in which the poet Heinrich Heine described the beauty of the love between the flower and the moon. Bryce-Davis showed the lyric tones of her voice as she told of this delicate love.

The antics of the Wicksteed home are a darkly satirical merry-go-round in Alan Bennett's Habeas Corpus.  Family, friends and the quest for sexual pleasures of the body (“corpus”) are the ruling passions in this farcical comedy of ill-manners. Through an escapade of mistaken identities and carnal encounters, one motto holds fast: “He whose lust lasts, lasts longest.”

Full casting and creative team is announced today for Heart of Hammersmith, the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre's first large-scale community play celebrating true stories of West London with a cast of over 40 local people, aged from 11–88 years, running in the Main House from Thursday 12 to Saturday 14 August.

Tom Stoppard's Leopoldstadt, directed by Patrick Marber and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, will return to Wyndham's Theatre for a 12-week run from 7 August – 30 October 2021.
