Theatrical licensor Music Theatre International (MTI) has announced the acquisition of TREVOR. A filmed version of the critically acclaimed Off Broadway production Trevor: The Musical will debut exclusively on Disney+ Friday, June 24.

Lake Tahoe Dance Collective (LTDC) presents the tenth annual Lake Tahoe Dance Festival, which will take place this summer from July 27-29, 2022 at venues in Tahoe City and Truckee, CA for in-person audiences. Tickets start at $25 and are available online at laketahoedancecollective.org. Portions of the event will also be available for free online viewing on the company’s website from Saturday, July 30 through Tuesday, August 2.

San Diego State University New Musical Initiative Selects IN A SUNSHINE STATE For World Premiere

Out of 163 submissions, the San Diego State University New Musical Initiative has chosen In a Sunshine State as this year's selection. Writers T.C. Lind, Derek Gregor, and Phoebe Kreutz will join with director Stephen Brotebeck, music director Robert Meffe and the SDSU MFA Musical Theatre cohort for a two-year development process and world premiere in the spring of 2024.

The U.S. Presidential Scholars award—one of the nation's highest honors for high school students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership qualities and community service—is presented on behalf of the President of the United States and honors up to 161 graduating high school seniors of high potential each year. Students who would like to be considered for U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts must be YoungArts award winners.
