The holiday season is just around the corner, and the islands have some wonderful theatre offerings to keep spirits high! Check out some of the shows we’re looking forward to, broken down by island, and listed in order of opening date.

With cooling temperatures comes a return to fall seasons and activities at Seattle Center. September offers a range of arts, entertainment and educational opportunities across the grounds and online.  

The Village Playwrights meet the second and fourth Thursday of the month from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Studio 353, 353 W. 48th St., NYC in Studio 4.  Everyone is welcome. $5 suggested donation.

A brand new season of West End musicals, gripping dramas, dynamic dance and one night concerts on sale next week at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre.

Keola Beamer & Henry Kapono are two legends of Hawaiian music, continuing to lead the way for over four decades. They join forces at The Broad Stage on Thursday, February 1. Beamer & Kapono will each perform a set, then come together onstage to celebrate their original songs that have become beloved classics of contemporary Hawaiian music. The evening will also feature a performance from Moanalani Beamer, Kumu Hula (Hula Master).

The holidays are officially here at Blue Note Hawaii and December kicks them off with an epic series with local legend Henry Kapono with his Back in the Day; The Songs of C&K shows.

Robert Cazimero continues his residency followed by the incomparable Herb Alpert and Lani Hall. Donavon Frankenreiter returns for three nights, followed by Jake Shimabukuro and a heart-warming Charlie Brown Christmas show. It wouldn't be New Year's without the much-anticipated return of legendary jazz saxophonist Kenny G.

May has major stars lining up at Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, kicking off with two local favorites DeAndre Brackensick and Robert Cazimero, followed up by seminal reggae artists Black Uhuru, soul songstress Meleana Brown and American Idol star Taylor Hicks.

April offers an eclectic lineup at Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, continuing the series with Blood Sweat & Tears, followed up by local favorite Jake Shimabukuro, the Devon Allman Band, and Roseanne Barr ushering in the new Blue Note Comedy Series April 8th and 9th.

In 2017, Seattle Center Festal celebrates 20 years of global music, dance, art, crafts, history, food and insight presented through a unique partnership among community organizations on weekends throughout the year. This illuminating series of 24 ethnic cultural festivals seeks to connect people in ways that build understanding, dispel stereotypes and generate pride among the generations who participate in these shared experiences.

Blue Note Hawaii, the state's premier venue for the world's most celebrated artists, is honored to shine the spotlight on local, Hawaii-based artists this spring with upcoming shows featuring award-winning artists such as Kalapana, Robert Cazimero, Willie K, and The Rough Riders. Expanding its commitment to showcase local artists and stars of the Hawaii music industry, Blue Note Hawaii begins a series of one-night only performances featuring Ginai on April 11, Natalie Ai Kamauu on April 18, the incomparable Willie K on April 19, trumpeter Mike Lewis on May 2 and Hiroshima-known for their unique East Meets West contemporary jazz sound-from April 26 to May 1.

On the 30th anniversary of its 1984 release, The Wailers will be in concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Sunday, May 18, at 8 p.m. performing the iconic album Legend in its entirety, which features the bands biggest hits of all time including 'I Shot The Sheriff', 'Redemption Song', 'Jamming' and many, many more. Special guest is Makua, the ambassador of Aloha, who is an accomplished ukulele player, singer and surfer. This event is underwritten by The Mango Tree and is part of the Xfinity Rock Series.

The official opening is on Thursday April 10th at 7:30PM.
