A new Broadway season has officially begun! Two Broadway shows (Into the Woods and The Kite Runner) have already kicked off the 2022/23 theatre season this summer and a whole lot more are on the way. As the weather starts to cool, get ready for 15 (and counting) new productions, which will take their first Broadway bows this autumn. What are the best shows on Broadway this fall...?

Performance Space New York has announced the Healing Series, a year-long reflection for the organization on the political potency of healing and the role performance plays in it, in the midst of what feels like a momentous shift in art-making to center modes and practices of care.

A Noise Within will present George Orwell’s savage satire, Animal Farm, directed by ANW co-artistic director Julia Rodriguez-Elliott. The acclaimed stage adaptation opens A Noise Within’s 2022-23 season on September 3. Performances continue through October 2, with previews beginning August 28.

Tyra Banks is back as host and executive producer of “Dancing with the Stars” for her third consecutive season. Joining her as co-host is “DWTS” season 19 Mirrorball Champion Alfonso Ribeiro. Expert judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough also resume their seats on the ballroom floor.

Overnight Sensation is a hysterical comedy that finds Kimmett on the eve of her first old age security cheque, asking herself if it's too late to become an Overnight Sensation. (She may even be pushing the limit on Late Bloomer.)

The American Classical Orchestra (ACO), New York City’s leading period instrument orchestra, has announced its 2022-23 season of four orchestral concerts conducted by Founder and Artistic Director Thomas Crawford, beginning on Thursday, September 22, with the first of three performances at Alice Tully Hall, and continuing through May 18, 2023. The soloists will include soprano Yulan Piao, mezzo-soprano Heather Petrie, tenor Lawrence Jones, bass Joseph Charles Beutel, pianist Petra Somlai, and violinist Rachell Ellen Wong.

From May 9-15, Samantha Shay’s short film Mother Melancholia will be available for on-demand viewing via pay what you can, and all funds raised will go towards aiding the Ukrainian people. The film is a multi-layered portrait of four women set to a soundtrack for the end of the world. As part of the Under Construction Festival and in partnership with Tanztheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch, this special digital programming event will be available at bit.ly/MotherMelancholia. 

Greenway Arts Alliance, in association with Two Sisters Media, will present the world premiere of WHO ARE YOU by Shareen Mitchell (New York Theatre Festival’s Code Name Triumph).
