Carol Burnett to Appear at Benaroya Hall Oct 21

Carol Burnett, award-winning actress and best-selling author, will be at Benaroya Hall on Sunday October 21, 2018 with her one woman show, Carol Burnett: An Evening of Laughter and Reflection Where the Audience Asks the Questions. Ms. Burnett was recently nominated for an Emmy for 'The Carol Burnett Show 50th Anniversary Special' which aired on CBS in December of 2017. This is her first Emmy nomination in over a decade. The Primetime Emmy Award winners will be announced on September 17, 2018.

The album is his first to be recorded with his ace touring band who have been relentlessly touring behind Eady's critically acclaimed self-titled album that was released in 2017. GRAMMY-nominated musicians Rob Ickes and Trey Hensley accompanied Eady, his bandmates and wife Courtney Patton to round out the lineup that would execute the live, single-take sessions.

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) and The Theatre at Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angeles will once again team up to present 14 bold programs by leading innovators and acknowledged masters in contemporary dance, music, theater and literature, featuring pioneering champions for social justice and diverse world views. Offering more than 40 unique events and 60 performances, CAP UCLA's new season runs from September 22, 2018, to May 10, 2019, and will open and close with programs at Ace.

MOON& By Szalt (dance Co) Begins At The Ford Theatres, 8/26

The Ford Theatres presents the world premiere of moon& by szalt (dance co) on Sunday, August 26 at 8:30pm as part of its IGNITE @ the FORD! series.  Mirrored by the eight phases of the moon, moon& is a new evening-length work by szalt (dance co.)'s Founding Artistic Director Stephanie Zaletel. The piece will premiere under the light of the full moon and will feature an all-female company of six world-class dancers paired with electro-acoustic composers Louis Lopez and Jonathan Snipes performing live.

In a nail-biting season finale showdown between Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Eureka, and Kameron Michaels, Aquaria was crowned the season 10 winner of VH1's Emmy® Award-winning “RuPaul's Drag Race,” earning the title of “America's Next Drag Superstar” and a cash prize of $100,000. In a world full of nines, Aquaria was a 10 in a season filled with stunning looks, sickening lip-syncs, topical conversations and an elimination that left viewers screaming “Vanjie.” Filmed in front of a packed house at The Theatre at Ace Hotel in Los Angeles, season nine winner Sasha Velour was on-hand during the finale to pass on the title to her successor.
