An inspired mash-up of posh and punk, Head Over Heels is an unpredictable, Elizabethan romp about a royal family that must prevent an oracle's prophecy of doom. In order to save their beloved kingdom, the family embarks on an extravagant journey wrought with mistaken identities, jealous lovers, sexual awakening, scandal and self-discovery, where everything (and everyone) is not quite what it seems. Always a beehive of activity, the Harris Center at Folsom Lake College will put its 2018-19 Season of Performing Arts on sale to the general public in early July.

Chris Isaacson Presents has announced that Tony Award nominee Mary Bridget Davies (A Night with Janis Joplin) will bring her electric charm and powerhouse vocals to Catalina Bar & Grill in Hollywood for one show only on Sunday, May 13, at 7:30pm. Musical direction is by Ryan Sudick. 

North Carolina Theatre is proud to announce the addition of a new show to the 2017-18 season on stage at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts. This season will feature A NIGHT WITH Janis Joplin during an extended run in the A.J. Fletcher Opera Theater, May 4-20, 2018.

The Wallis production of BLUES IN THE NIGHT, conceived and directed by Sheldon Epps, starts performances next week in the intimate Lovelace Theater! Pioneer Theatre Company presents the musical hit Mamma Mia! to close its 2017-2018 season, running Friday, May 11 through Saturday, May 26, 2018.  The New York Times said Mamma Mia! 'creates the beguiling illusion that you could jump onstage and start singing and fit right in.'

The Old Globe's 2017-2018 Season continues with today's announcement of the complete cast and creative team for the Southern California debut of A Thousand Splendid Suns, Ursula Rani Sarma's sweeping and deeply moving theatrical production based on the best-selling book by Khaled Hosseini (The Kite Runner).

Closing out the 2017-18 season, A.C.T. will present the world-premiere musical, A Walk on the Moon (June 6-July 1, 2018),based on the Miramax and Village Roadshow Pictures motion picture of the same name. In the summer of '69, America is on the brink of change. In the cities, crowds are protesting the Vietnam War. In the skies, Apollo 11 is speeding towards the first moon landing.

Tony-Nominee Mary Bridget Davies Announces Spring Tour with Mia Dyson

Written by Sam Cassidy, directed by Arlene Phillips, Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus runs until Saturday in concert-style workshop performances at The Other Palace. The production is semi-staged and performed by a live 6-piece rock band.

The Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts announces the cast for its upcoming production of Blues in the Night.  Conceived and directed by Sheldon Epps, the production will feature Yvette Cason (Shout Sister Shout, Broadway and film versions of Dreamgirls), Bryce Charles (The Book of Mormon, ABC's "Black-ish"), Paulette Ivory (Disney's Aida and the West End premieres of The Lion King and Blues in the Night) and Chester Gregory (Broadway's Motown: The Musical, Hairspray and  Sister Act).  Blues in the Night will begin performances April 27 through May 20 in the Lovelace Studio Theater.

The spring season at the Chappaqua Performing Arts Center welcomes blues singer Mary Bridget Davies. Tickets for Mary Bridget Davies are $23.50 - $48.50 and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, by calling 1-800-745-3000 or at the lobby box office on day of the show. Ms. Davies burst onto the Broadway scene with her starring role in A Night with Janis Joplin, where in 2014 she was nominated for a Tony Award. That same year she won the Theatre World Award and LA Outer Critics Award for Outstanding Performance.

Diana Vickers has joined the cast of rock musical Myth: The Rise and Fall of Orpheus to play the female lead character, Eurydice.

The Old Globe will celebrate in style at the 2018 Globe Gala on Saturday, September 22, in support of the theatre's arts engagement and artistic programs. The glamorous annual event will feature an exclusive, one-night-only performance by the incomparable Andra Day. Karen Cohn, Nina Doede, andSheryl White serve as Co-Chairs.

The minute the curtain was raised and a familiar tune of the Four Tops reached my ears, I knew that both the audience and I were going to be dancing in our seats all night. Throughout the evening, the audience was serenaded with many hits such as the sweet sound of The Temptations singing 'My Girl' and the classic song 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours' by the incredible Stevie Wonder. There was not one moment in the show that I did not absolutely adore.
