The Doobie Brothers have announced 23 additional dates for THE DOOBIE BROTHERS 50thANNIVERSARY TOUR. Once, the winner of eight 2012 Tony Awards including Best Musical, and winner of the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album, will open at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC) on December 5th and run through December 22nd. The musical is based on the 2007 Academy Award-winning film of the same name, which was written and directed by John Carney, and starred Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová, with original music and lyrics by Mr. Hansard and Ms. Irglová.  (The multiple award-winning Once has also won Grammy and Olivier awards.)

Burger Records has announced that they will be releasing Da Crime-Click's cult classic debut hip-hop album A Million Ways 2 Murda on cassette, CD, and, for the first time, vinyl. Originally released in the mid-90s, A Million Wayz 2 Murda started as a self-distributed cassette that the group would sell to local stereo shops around their hometown of Memphis. Through word of mouth the cassette sold out week after week and the group developed a rabid following around town. As Crime-Click member Il Tone explained, 'it was strange because we was (sic) just having fun and it turned into something big.'

Craft Recordings is thrilled to announce The Memphis Masters—a limited video series celebrating various albums from the iconic Stax Records label, showcasing its enduring musical legacy, as well as its influence on Memphis, TN. Created in partnership with Memphis Record Pressing and Memphis Tourism, and directed by Andrew Trent Fleming of TheFilmJerk Media, the multi-part series was shot in several locations around the city—also known as the home of blues, soul and rock 'n' roll—including such historic landmarks as Sam Phillips Recording Service, Royal Studios and the Stax Museum of American Soul Music. With interviews spanning multiple generations of artists, The Memphis Masters offers insight from the likes of Robert Trujillo (Metallica), Grace Potter, Matt Berninger (The National), Walshy Fire (Major Lazer), Steve Selvidge (The Hold Steady) and producer Boo Mitchell—all of whom were inspired by the label's music and the albums being reissued. The Memphis Masters also includes interviews with Stax legends like Steve Cropper, Big Star's Jody Stephens, James Alexander (the Bar-Kays) and Booker T. Jones, plus longtime label publicist Deanie Parker and songwriter Bettye Crutcher, who share their memories from the label's heyday.
