The Tony Award-winning Alley Theatre announces the cast and creative team of Texas-born and raised playwright Vichet Chum's world premiere comedy High School Play: A Nostalgia Fest. The play is directed by native Houstonian Tiffany Nichole Greene and runs January 21 – February 13, 2022 in the Hubbard Theatre.

Save the Date! The Theatre World Awards Board of Directors, Dale Badway, President, has announced, today, the return to a live in-person presentation of the 76th Annual Theatre World Awards Ceremony that will take place on Monday evening, June 6, 2022 beginning at 7:00PM. Theater venue will be announced in spring 2022.

Today, 24 November 2021 iconic children's venue Little Angel Theatre celebrates 60 years of entertaining and inspiring generations of families through the magical artform of puppetry.  When a troupe of enthusiastic puppeteers under the leadership of John and Lyndie Wright transformed a derelict temperance hall in Islington into a theatre specially designed for children's marionette shows in 1961, nothing like it existed anywhere in London. 

Lunchbox Theatre is set to debut the first production of its 2021-22 season after nearly two years in the dark. As announced in September, the first full, in-person production is the holiday show All I Want for Christmas by Rebecca Northan. It is a wonderful new comedy about looking for love at the North Pole that is sure to warm your heart and get you in the festive spirit. This production will preview on November 30, Open on December 2nd and run until December 19, 2021.

Miami New Drama announced the return of the world premiere production  A Wonderful World, a new musical based on the life and songs of jazz legend and American icon Louis Armstrong. Originally scheduled for the spring of 2020, the production will now play at the Colony Theatre from December 4 - January 16, with opening night set for December 11.

Hillside Drama welcomes our community back to the theatre with an original, thought-provoking, and insightful play entitled, “State of Urgency”. It is a riveting and brutal play on social justice issues in America.  It will be a major call to action to help curb gun violence.

For the first time in 21 months, Merrimack Repertory Theatre will return to The Nancy L. Meadow Brook Theatre turned the lights back on with Fancy, a Country Jukebox Musical. Fancy is a world premiere running until October 3rd and is about dreams and what they cost. After 18 months it was a wonderful to be back, safely, in that gorgeous theatre!

This production was meant to be presented as part of the theatre's livestreamed Christmas show in December 2020, but was canceled out of an abundance of caution and concern for our artists.
