TWIN PEAKS Celebrates 30th Anniversary at Elvis Presley's Graceland

Nearly three decades ago, audiences around the country were glued to their televisions by the mysterious death of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), and next spring, April 3-5, 2020, fans of the series Twin Peaks will travel to Elvis Presley's Graceland® for a once-in-a-lifetime fan celebration. David Lynch and Mark Frost created a mystery horror drama series that has continued to amass a cult following, even after its original series finale in 1991, and its impact on pop culture is never-ending. The Twin Peaks 30: Official Fan Celebration, under license from Showtime Networks and ViacomCBS Consumer Products, will be an unforgettable experience featuring Twin Peaks-themed parties, screenings of fan-favorite episodes and the chance for fans to relive their favorite show, accompanied by cherry pie and “damn good coffee.”

La Jolla Playhouse has announced the choreographers and lead cast members for its upcoming musical Fly, based on the novel Peter and Wendy, by J.M. Barrie, with book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Rajiv Joseph (Playhouse's Guards at the Taj, Broadway's Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo); music by Tony, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Bill Sherman (music director for Sesame Street); lyrics by Obie Award winner Kirsten Childs (The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin) and Rajiv Joseph, directed by multiple Tony Award-winning producer Jeffrey Seller (Hamilton, Rent, Avenue Q, In the Heights). Fly will run in the Mandell Weiss Theatre February 18 - March 29, 2020.

Pianist Orli Shaham, a 1995 Gilmore Young Artist of the Irving S. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival, will join the Grand Rapids Symphony in April 2020 to launch a new series, The Pianists. The series, created by GRS Music Director Marcelo Lehninger, includes concerts entirely devoted to the piano, both as a solo instrument and with orchestra.
