Live At the Orinda concert series, currently in its debut season of presenting world-renowned musical artists at the beautiful art-deco Orinda Theatre, announces the first half of their 2019 Season. This will also mark their One Year Anniversary Season. The season kicks off on Saturday, January 19, 2019 with legendary actor/singer Rita Moreno in her first Bay Area concert in many years, followed by a matinee performance on Sunday, January 20, 2019. The opening weekend performances will also serve as a fundraiser for the historic Orinda Movie Theatre to purchase permanent concert lighting for the venue to enhance the live music experience even further.

In a new video feature titled 'CNN Philippines Presents: Lea Salonga,' which premiered on November 24, 2018, the closest people to Lea--friends, family, and co-workers-tell all about Lea's 40 admirable years in show business.

The Old Globe in association with Yonge Street Theatricals will present a by-invitation-only industry reading of the new musical Life After on Thursday, December 6 at 2:00 p.m. and Friday, December 7 at Noon at Ripley Grier Studios in New York City. The reading will help the creative team prepare for the musical's upcoming American premiere this winter at The Old Globe in San Diego, where it will run from March 22 to April 28, 2019.

There have been many announcements in the last few weeks about upcoming stage to screen adaptations. The first official teaser for ALADDIN was released, a BE MORE CHILL movie was announced, and more casting for the upcoming CATS film was announced, including Dame Judi Dench as Old Deuteronomy and Idris Elba as Macavity.

Broadway producers and entrepreneurs Mike Karns and Greg Nobile have acquired the website DidHeLikeIt.com from producer Ken Davenport in a deal that closed in early October 2018.

Goodman Theatre adds to its 2018/2019 Season a limited engagement of St. Nicholas-an internationally-acclaimed major revival by London's Donmar Warehouse of Conor McPherson's 1997 intimate thriller, directed by Simon Evans. The monologue play stars Olivier Award-winning actor Brendan Coyle ("Mr. Bates" of the smash sensation Downton Abbey, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination) in "a superlative, mesmerizing performance that's simply not to be missed" (The Arts Review). The U.S. premiere, which appears in the Goodman's 350-seat flexible Owen Theatre, follows two acclaimed recent appearances at the Donmar Warehouse and the Dublin Theatre Festival. The creative team includes Peter McKintosh (Set), Matt Daw (Lighting) and Christopher Shutt (Sound). Goodman Theatre's limited engagement of St. Nicholas appears January 9 - 27, 2019 in the Owen Theatre (170 N. Dearborn). From October 19 to November 24, 2018, SpeakEasy Stage will present the Boston Regional Theatre Premiere of the 2015 Tony Award-winning musical FUN HOME.

George Street Playhouse (GSP) will launch its 2018-19 season with the world premiere of 'The Trial of Donna Caine,' a gripping courtroom drama by Walter Anderson. Eowyn Ivey's debut novel The Snow Child is reborn as a magical new musical featuring a score that combines Alaskan string-band traditions and contemporary musical theater. On November 17t, SubCulture will present the show in a concert adaptation featuring KATE BALDWIN, MATT BOGART, FINA STRAZZA, GERARD CANONICO, SALLY MAYES and WILLIAM PARRY.

Monday evening, November 12, 2018, 8 p.m., The New York Choral Society and Orchestra (NYCHORAL) will present its first program of the season, MY SHADOW AND MY LIGHT, under the baton of Music Director David Hayes at the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. In honor of Veterans Day and in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War and the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht, Maestro Hayes has chosen a program that explores how three early 20th-century composers, two British and one American, created works expressing their deeply personal reactions to these profound moments in human history.

The Madison Square Garden Company (NYSE: MSG) announced today that the 2018 production of the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, presented by Chase, will be technologically transformed with the addition of an all-new finale scene and redesigned elements. Directed by Tony, Drama Desk and Olivier Award-nominated director Sam Buntrock (Broadway and West End productions of Sunday in the Park with George), the new finale will include 100 drones that take flight to create a groundbreaking magical holiday light show, and new digital projections from Obscura Digital. The finale joins several of the production's beloved numbers, which will showcase new, state-of-the-art digital projections from Obscura to combine next-level technology with awe-inspiring artistry that extend the show beyond the stage.

Critically acclaimed rock band Papa Roachconfirmed that they will release new music this Friday October 5th. The release will mark the band's first new tracks since 2017's album “Crooked Teeth” and is the first release from their forthcoming 10th studio album, due for release in early 2019.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed new musical Midnight at The Never Get, with book, music, and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick, co-conceived by Sam Bolen, by arrangement with Visceral Entertainment and Mark Cortale Productions.  Directed by Max Friedman, with choreography by Andrew Palermo, and music direction/arrangements by Adam Podd, the cast will feature Sam Bolen, Jeremy Cohen, and Jon J.
