Lyric Fest has commissioned COTTON, a new multimedia work combining photography, poetry, and song that is inspired by the cotton photography of Philadelphia artist John Dowell. Slated to have its world premiere performance on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at the Philadelphia Episcopal Cathedral.

New England-based songwriter and guitarist, Savoir Faire, has returned with a jazz-inspired and powerful single, “How’s It Supposed To Feel.” Savior Faire wrote and performed the song from the viewpoint of an essential employee working during a national health crisis. “How’s It Supposed To Feel” is available now on all digital platforms.

The full cast has been announced for the upcoming Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, starring Tony and Grammy-nominated multi-platinum recording artist Josh Groban (Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812) and Tony Award winner Annaleigh Ashford (Sunday in the Park with George).

Andy Sandberg, Artistic Director and CEO of the Hermitage Artist Retreat, announced that composer and theater artist Imani Uzuri has been selected as the third recipient of the Hermitage Major Theater Award.

Audible Inc. will present the world premiere of Lucy, written and directed by BAFTA Award nominee Erica Schmidt (Cyrano, MacBeth). Performances of the limited five-week-only engagement will begin Saturday, January 28, 2023 with an official opening on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Minetta Lane Theatre.

About Face Theatre has announced plans for its 28th season.
