Upon entering the House of Blues for HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, I was greeted by such an array in the audience; some were dressed casually, some were in costumes, while most of the audience were rockers. HEDWIG is not your average or your traditional musical.

Sheldon Allan 'Shel' Silverstein was a decidedly American writer who has been translated into more than 30 languages, and whose books have sold over 20 million copies. He was the recipient of two Grammy Awards, as well as a Golden Globe and an Academy Award nomination. Silverstein created a remarkable body of work that spans the gamut from county and western songs to children's literature, from poetry to short plays. He also illustrated much of his own writing. In AN ADULT EVENING OF SHEL SILVERSTEIN, adapter and director Steph Carll has pulled judiciously from this body of work to craft a delectably demented, sublimely saucy and blissfully bawdy evening of adult entertainment. What is also revealed in the process is just how much Silverstein has contributed to the fabric of our lives. You may find yourself thinking more than once 'I didn't know he wrote that...' .

Triple ByPass Productions is excited to play in George F. Walker's world once again. To mount a play by a Canadian playwright at the Toronto Fringe is especially exciting for us! It's a great platform to introduce new people to Walker, and to put up one of his plays that is less often done for his already existing fans. If you crave great acting, storytelling and an exciting night in the theatre, you do not want to miss a Triple ByPass Production.

Now that Peter has returned to Neverland and the good citizens of Tuna have returned their yard ornaments to their garages and attics, Green Day's AMERICAN IDIOT has seen to it that all the kiddies need to be tucked away in bed: Playhouse's electrifying production of the punk rock musical odyssey, with Book and Lyrics by Billie Joe Armstrong and Book by Michael Mayer, has traded in pirates for pushers; and the result must have Rodgers and Hammerstein scratching their heads in musical heaven and asking the question, 'What in the name of Bali Hai is going on here?' However, if like me, you're primed for some stimulating adult entertainment, you'll find more than your toes tapping in this 'in your face' assault on the idiocy that is America -- that is we the audience.

A SHINING ATTRIBUTE by Candyce Rusk is a one act, solo work that tells the story of Bijou, a spirit that haunts a former burlesque house in Boston's Combat Zone. The Combat Zone was the name given in the 1960's to the adult entertainment district in downtown Boston, Massachusetts. In the early 70's the suggestively blue entertainment that was burlesque became less tease and more blunt nudity. A SHINING ATTRIBUTE explores the life and loves of Bijou, one of the denizens of The Combat Zone. This is a look at her downward slide through her final abusive yet oddly loving romance when she consorted with Greek mob boss Black Jack for her survival.

The hilarious, sexy, and surprisingly touching musical PRETTY FILTHY made a splash Off-Broadway in early 2015. Ghostlight Records' PRETTY FILTHY (Original Cast Recording) perfectly captures the humor of the show. Michael Friedman's often blunt but always-relatable lyrics are uncompromised on the recording. The cast's voices shine across the 13-track album.
