Kareem Blue is a former boxer turned comedian; an entertainer, actor and producer of his own comedy shows; and owner and operator of Blue Boy Entertainment. His boxing prowess gives him a unique way to deliver material. He reads the crowd as he would an opponent standing across the ring and is able to make split second decisions that will KO the crowd with laughter, bringing a whole new meaning to punchlines. Growing up in NYC, Kareem was faced with a vast array of adversity and managed to always look on the bright side and found humor in dark situations. Fast forward 30 years later, Kareem calls Bethlehem, CT his home and is producing local comedy shows in the area. Kareem was runner up in New England's Funniest Comic at Mohegan Sun.

K'Rina Fort has been in the entertainment business for many years as a promoter, hip-hop artist, radio personality, voice-over actress and now a comedian. She has a particular strength for capturing the attention of an audience. She has been invited to share the stage with the legendary Paul Mooney and other comedic sensations such as Nikki Carr, Gerald Kelly, opened and promoted for Jay-Z, Mary J. Recently, she has performed in her one-woman comedic monologue that had over 200 people in attendance. K'Rina Fort is simply 'The Laughter Therapist'.

On January 7, 1983 Derek Furtado was not only born, but he was born into an opportunity. The 1980's were arguably the Golden Years for stand-up comedy, launching the stars that would go on to dominate the 90's. It was comedians such as Chris Rock, Jim Carey, and Jerry Seinfeld that influenced the humorous persona you see today. It was his ability to make people laugh, that helped him adapt to the life of a military brat, eventually settling in Massachusetts where he began an official career in stand-up comedy. Sporting a movie star smile and devilish charm, Derek captivates the audience with not only his comedy, but his interaction with the crowd. With his material ranging from his sexual escapades to being assaulted by a senior citizen outside of a bingo parking lot, Derek has a way of appealing to all audiences. With stops in such acclaimed clubs as Catch a Rising Star, The Comedy Studio, Jokers Wild, Comix at Foxwoods, the Comedy Connection, and the Providence Performing Arts Center Theater, he has quickly made his presence known throughout New England comedy. Over the past 7 years Derek has been able to share the stage with such known comics as Otto and George, Robert Kelly, Donald Glover, April Macie, Patrice O'Neal, Craig Gass, Jo Koy, Gary Gulman, Dennis Blair, Myq Kaplan, Bruce Bruce, Bob Marley, Ralphie May and Kevin Hart. Needless to say, as much as he has accomplished in such a short time, the sky is the limit for this young and talented star!

James T. Moore is a comedian from Hartford/Bridgeport who has performed in Boston, Manhattan, Rhode Island and all over Connecticut. He has been doing standup for 5 years and is an up and coming star. He has been a returning host of the Hartford Funnybone Comedy Club. His proudest moments are those he spends with his children and his beautiful wife. JT Moore is a crowd pleaser with his guy-next door persona. He caters to the crowd with his current event style while making you feel like he's your friend. His unmatched wit is very playful with a raspy voice and animated facial expression that will have you in tears of laughter. JT will definitely be a comedian to remember. Built by Warner Brothers Studios and opened in 1931 as a movie palace (1,772 seats), the Warner Theatre was described then as "Connecticut's Most Beautiful Theatre." Damaged extensively in a flood, the Warner was slated for demolition in the early 1980s until the non-profit Northwest Connecticut Association for the Arts (NCAA) was founded and purchased the theatre. The Warner reopened as a performing arts center in 1983, and restoration of the main lobbies and auditorium was completed in November 2002. In 2008, the new 50,000 square foot Carole and Ray Neag Performing Arts Center, which houses a 300 seat Studio Theatre, 200 seat restaurant and expansive school for the arts, was completed. Today, the Warner is in operation year-round with more than 160 performances and 100,000 patrons passing through its doors each season. Over 10,000 students, pre K-adult, participate in arts education programs and classes. Together, with the support of the community, the Warner has raised close to $17 million to revitalize its facilities. NCAA's mission is to preserve the Warner Theatre as an historic landmark, enhance its reputation as a center of artistic excellence and a focal point of community involvement, and satisfy the diverse cultural needs of the region.
