How lucky are we in Wichita to have such a wonderful theatre community?! Better still, how lucky are we to have such a gem like Music Theatre Wichita? Producing Director Wayne Bryan and his cohort of Wichita Favorites paid homage to the city that has supported MTW for the past 50 years by showering them with some of the amazing talent that has graced the Concert Hall stage. Talent that was nurtured by Wayne and the MTW organization; talent that cut their baby teeth and grew up on the Concert Hall stage.

The cast includes Bette Midler as Mama Rose, alongside Cynthia Gibb, Elisabeth Moss, Peter Riegart, Jennifer Rae Beck, Lacey Chabert, Edward Asner, Linda Hart, Christine Ebersole, Andrew Martin, Tony Shalhoub, and more!

Harmonia Mundi will be releasing a recording on May 28, 2021 of Samuel Barber's Toccata Festiva (catalog numberHMM902611) featuring GRAMMY award-winning organist Paul Jacobs as soloist with the Lucerne Symphony under conductor James Gaffigan. The performance was recorded live in concert in Lucerne, November 2018.

Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Award winner and Huntington Trustee Billy Porter will serve as host of at the Huntington’s virtual Spotlight Gala on May 10, 2021 and Huntington Trustee J. David (“Dave”) Wimberly will receive the first ever Encore Award for Lifetime Service.

NSU Art Museum Fort Lauderdale will present a major retrospective exhibition of fashion designer Anna Sui from February 27 - September 19, 2021. With over 100 looks, The World of Anna Sui explores the glamorous and eclectic world of one of New York's most beloved and accomplished designers, and invites viewers to step inside Sui's imagination to discover her creative process and the diverse influences that contribute to her signature aesthetic sensibility.

BETSY McBRIDE, SIMON WEXLER, PAOLA HARTLEY, and KAREN SCALZITTI-KENNEDY will be members of the guest faculty for the Shreveport Dance Academy's Summer Intensive in Shreveport, Louisiana.
